Conservation Act 1987

Amendment to Minimum Size Limit for Trout Within the Taupo District

Pursuant to section 26ZL (1) (c) of the Conservation Act 1987, I, Bill Mansfield, Director-General of Conservation, hereby give notice that within the Taupo District, with the exclusion of the Kuratau River upstream of the hydro-electric supply dam and the Waikato River from the Taupo control gates bridge downstream to Huka Falls, no person shall have in their possession any trout which is less than 45 centimetres in length.

This notice has the effect of amending the Taupo Fishing Regulations 1984, Part III, Regulation 20 (2), and unless this notice is amended or revoked, it shall expire on the date on which an amendment to the Taupo Fishing Regulations 1984 affecting the size limit of trout, comes into force.

This notice shall come into effect on the 1st day of July 1997.
