Declaring State Highway to be Limited Access Road: State Highway No. 27, State Highway 2/27, Intersection to Waikaka Bridge

It is notified that Transit New Zealand, by resolution dated 30 April 1997, and pursuant to section 88 (1) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, hereby declares that part of State Highway No. 27, commencing at the SH 2/27 Intersection (at RP 0/0.00) and proceeding generally in a southerly direction to the Waikaka Bridge North Abutment (at RP 16/2.45), as more particularly shown in Plans LA 20/101/1 and LA 20/101/2 and accompanying Schedules held in the office of the Regional State Highway Manager, Transit New Zealand, Hamilton, and there available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.

Declaring State Highway to be Limited Access Road: State Highway No. 1, Ngutuwera Bridge to Pokaiwhenua Culvert

It is notified that Transit New Zealand, by resolution dated 30 April 1997, and pursuant to section 88 (1) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, hereby declares that part of State Highway No. 1, commencing at Ngutuwera Bridge (at RP 537/0.00) and proceeding in a generally southerly direction to the Pokaiwhenua Culvert (at RP 537/7.41), as more particularly shown in Plan LA 20/14/2 and accompanying Schedule held in the office of the Regional State Highway Manager, Transit New Zealand, Hamilton, and there available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.

Declaring State Highway to be Limited Access Road: State Highway No. 2, Matata to Awakeri

It is notified that Transit New Zealand, by resolution dated 30 April 1997, and pursuant to section 88 (1) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, hereby declares that part of State Highway No. 2, commencing at Matata (at RP 223/1.02) and proceeding in an easterly direction to the western side of Edgecumbe Township (at RP 223/12.76), then recommencing on the eastern side of Edgecumbe Township (at RP 223/13.66) and proceeding in a generally easterly direction to Awakeri (at RP 242/0.00), as more particularly shown in Plan LA 23/1553/1 and accompanying Schedule held in the office of the Regional State Highway Manager, Transit New Zealand, Hamilton, and there available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.

Declaring State Highway to be Limited Access Road: State Highway No. 14, Whatitiri Road to Waiotama Bridge

It is notified that Transit New Zealand, by resolution dated 30 April 1997, and pursuant to section 88 (1) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, hereby declares that part of State Highway No. 14, commencing at the junction of Whatitiri Road and State Highway 14 (at RP 15/1.58) and proceeding in a westerly direction to the western abutment of the Waiotama Bridge (at RP 15/8.89), as more particularly shown in Plan LA 11/55/3 and accompanying Schedule held in the office of the Regional State Highway Manager, Transit New Zealand, Auckland, and there available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.

Conservation

Conservation Act 1987

Declaring the Disposition of Land to be Exempt From Section 24 of the Conservation Act 1987

Pursuant to sections 24B (4) (b) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation, hereby declares that section 24 of the Conservation Act, which deals with the reservation of marginal strips, shall not apply to the disposition of the land in the Schedules hereto.

The land constitutes the Meremere Power Station and an area held for future development, all of which is required in connection with electricity works.

First Schedule

South Auckland Land Districtβ€”Waikato District

16.2461 hectares, more or less, being Sections 1 and 2, S.O. Plan 60149, situated in Blocks III, IV, VII and VIII, Maramarua Survey District.

6065 square metres, more or less, being Section 1, S.O. Plan 59595, situated in Block VI, Maramarua Survey District.

109.3982 hectares, more or less, being Lots 1–7, D.P. S. 74631, situated in Block VI, Maramarua Survey District.
