Maori Option Notice 1997

Pursuant to section 77 (2) of the Electoral Act 1993, the Minister of Justice gives the following notice.

N o t i c e

  1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Maori Option Notice 1997.

(2) This notice comes into force on the day after the date of its publication in the Gazette.

  1. Period for exercise of Maori option—The period of 4 months during which, in 1997, any Maori may exercise the option given by section 76 (1) of the Electoral Act 1993 is the period beginning on 28 April 1997 and ending with the close of 27 August 1997.

Pursuant to section 355 (3) of the Resource Management Act 1991, the Minister of Conservation vests the land described in the Schedule hereto, in Port Gisborne Limited, subject to lease 182462.1.

0.736 Block V, Paritutu Survey District, being part Lot 22 on Deposited Plan 1619, all of certificate of title K3/68.

Firstly, 5334 square metres, more or less, being Lot 9, D.P. 7819, situated in Block VII, Turanganui Survey District. All certificate of title 5B/1131.

Secondly, 1121 square metres, more or less, being Lot 10, D.P. 7819, situated in Block VII, Turanganui Survey District. All certificate of title 5B/1132.

Thirdly, 5875 square metres, more or less, being Lot 11, D.P. 7819, situated in Block VII, Turanganui Survey District. All certificate of title 5B/1133.

Land Declared No Longer Needed For Education Purposes

Pursuant to section 5A of the Education Lands Act 1949, and pursuant to authority delegated to me, I, John Graeme Simpson, National Property Manager, Ministry of Education, Wellington, hereby give the following notice.

N o t i c e

  1. The land described in the Schedule to this notice is no longer required for education purposes.

  2. This notice shall come into force on 6 March 1997.
