1. This is a notice of a public ruling made under section 91D of the Tax Administration Act 1994.

2. Public ruling No. 97/11 entitled “Rural rental property owners – liability to register for GST” will appear in Inland Revenue’s Tax Information Bulletin, Vol. 9, No. 11 of November 1997.

His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to section 3 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council hereby makes the following order.

Order

1. Title and commencement—(1) This order may be cited as the Harbour Limits (Manawatu River and Tributaries) Order 1997.

(2) This order shall come into force on the 28th day after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

2. Manawatu River and tributaries harbour limits defined—The limits specified in the Schedule to this order are hereby defined as the harbour limits of the Manawatu River and Tributaries Harbour.

Schedule

Tidal Waters
All tidal waters enclosed by the seaward arc of a circle of 1.25 nautical miles centred at position 40° 28'.8 S, 175° 12'.8 E at the mouth of the Manawatu River.

Manawatu River
All the waters of the Manawatu River from the sea to where Weber Road from Makiriri to Waitahora crosses the Manawatu River.

Oroua River
All the waters of the Oroua River from where it flows into the Manawatu River upstream to where the Oroua Valley Road Bridge crosses the Oroua River.
