The supplement to the New Zealand Gazette of Friday, 8 March 1996, issue No. 24, is amended at page 755, Taranaki Fish and Game Region, "Special Paradise Shelduck season", by:

1. Substituting the words "Daily Bag limit: 5" with "Daily Bag Limits: Area A–20; Areas B and C–5".

Securities Amendment Act 1988

The Authorised Futures Dealers Notice 1996 (No. 5), Amendment No. 7

Pursuant to the Securities Amendment Act 1988, the Securities Commission gives the following notice.

Notice

1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Authorised Futures Dealers Notice 1996 (No. 5), Amendment No. 7, and shall be read together and deemed part of the Authorised Futures Dealers Notice 1996 (No. 5) (hereinafter referred to as the principal notice).

(2) This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

2. Schedule of principal notice amended—The Schedule to the principal notice is hereby amended by adding the name "Industrial Energy Limited".

The Authorised Futures Dealers Notice 1997 (No. 2)

Pursuant to the Securities Amendment Act 1988, the Securities Commission gives the following notice.

Notice

1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Authorised Futures Dealers Notice 1997 (No. 2).

(2) This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

2. Interpretation—(1) In this notice, unless the context otherwise requires:

"the Act" means the Securities Amendment Act 1988;

"the Exchange" means New Zealand Futures and Options Exchange Limited.

(2) Any term or expression that is not defined in this notice, but that is defined in the Act, has the meaning given to it by the Act.

3. Westpac Banking Corporation authorised to carry on the business of dealing in futures contracts—(1) Westpac Banking Corporation is hereby authorised to carry on the business of dealing in futures contracts generally.

(2) The authorisation referred to in subclause (1) of this clause is subject to the following conditions:

(a) that Westpac Banking Corporation is a dealer within the meaning of the rules of the Exchange; and

(b) that Westpac Banking Corporation is bound by the rules of the Exchange; and

(c) that the authorisation applies in respect of futures contracts made on or effected through the Exchange or through a futures exchange in a country other than New Zealand which is authorised by the laws of that country to operate as a futures exchange; and

(d) that within 3 months after the end of each financial year of Westpac Banking Corporation, Westpac Banking Corporation provides the Commission with a copy of its audited financial statements for that financial year.

(3) The authorisation referred to in subclause (1) of this clause shall continue in force until it is revoked by the Commission.

4. Revocation—The authorisation of Westpac Banking Corporation contained in the Authorised Futures Dealers Notice 1992, is hereby revoked.
