The Traffic (Whangarei District) Notice 1997

Pursuant to section 52 (1) (c) of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976 and to a delegation from the Minister of Transport dated 31 August 1990, I, Grant Stewart Ellis Milne, Secretary for Transport, give the following notice:

N o t i c e

(1) This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Whangarei District) Notice 1997.

(2) The localities specified in the Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities at all times for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

(3) The portion of road specified in the Second Schedule is declared to be a 70 kilometre an hour speed limit area pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

First Schedule

SITUATED within Whangarei District at Tutukaka:

Marina Road.

Marlin Place.

SITUATED within Whangarei District at Woolleys Bay:

Kaone Point Road.

Matapouri Road: from a point 1370 metres measured north-westerly generally along the said road from Clements Road to a point 2170 metres measured north-westerly generally along the said road from Clements Road.

Woolley Road.

SITUATED within Whangarei District at Sandy Bay:

Matapouri Road: from a point 50 metres measured north-westerly generally along the said road from McAuslin Road to a point 800 metres measured south-easterly generally along the said road from McAuslin Road.

Second Schedule

SITUATED within Whangarei District at Tutukaka:

Matapouri Road: from a point 250 metres measured southerly generally along the said road from Marina Road to a point 250 metres measured northerly generally along the said road from Marina Road.
