Exemption From Specified Requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990

Pursuant to regulation 36 of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990, I, John Andrew Justice, Senior Engineer, hereby exempt the motor vehicles specified in Schedule 1 of this notice from the requirements of the Transport (Vehicle Standards) Regulations 1990 listed in Schedule 2, subject to the conditions specified in Schedule 3 of this notice.

Schedule 1

Vehicle Details

Class MD1, MD2, MD3, MD4, ME, NA, NB, NC, TB, TC and TD motor vehicles equipped with:

(i) a full dual circuit service brake with a front/rear split; and

(ii) a cardan shaft parking brake.

Schedule 2

Exempted Requirements

Regulation 13 (3) (a) relating to the requirement for the emergency brake to act on at least half the road wheels.

Schedule 3

Conditions

(i) This exemption may be revoked at any time.

Reserves Act 1977

Revocation of the Reservation Over Part of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, Otago Conservancy, Department of Conservation, hereby revokes the reservation over that part of the Morning Star Beach Recreation Reserve described in the Schedule hereto.

Revocation of Reserves

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, Canterbury, hereby revokes the reservations over the lands described in the Schedule hereto, and further, declares that the said lands may be disposed of by The Selwyn District Council at market value, and on such terms and conditions as the council shall determine. Proceeds from any such sale to be paid into the council’s reserves account, such money to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other reserves under the control of the council, or in or towards the purchase of other land for reserves.
