New Zealand Kiwifruit Marketing Board

1. Election of 2 Producer Members.

An election is to be held pursuant to the Kiwifruit Marketing Regulations 1977 to elect two producer members to the New Zealand Kiwifruit Marketing Board for a term expiring on 31 October 1996. Polling will close at noon on 31 July 1996.

The electoral roll of producers will be available for inspection during normal office hours from Tuesday, 9 April 1996 to Tuesday, 14 May 1996, at the following places: Fruited Supplies Limited offices in Hastings, Kerikeri and Gisborne, Agriculture New Zealand Limited office in Levin, NZ Fruitgrowers Federation office in Wellington, Kiwifruit Marketing Board offices in Tauranga, Nelson and Auckland.

No amendments can be made to the roll after Tuesday, 14 May 1996.

2. Nominations of Candidates.

Nominations open on Tuesday, 9 April 1996 and close at noon Tuesday, 4 June 1996. Please send nominations to the Returning Officer, New Zealand Kiwifruit Marketing Board, P.O. Box 9906, Auckland (nomination forms will be available from all New Zealand Kiwifruit Marketing Board offices from 9 April 1996).

The regulations require that all nominees:

(a) Have their name on the electoral roll;

(b) Are nominated in writing by 2 or more producers who appear on the roll as producers of at least 5000 export trays each in the 1995 season;

(c) Accept nomination in writing; and

(d) Pay to the Returning Officer an amount of $112.50 ($100.00 plus $12.50 G.S.T).

The Authorised Life Insurance Companies Notice (No. 2) 1996

Pursuant to the Securities Act 1978, the Securities Commission gives the following notice:

Notice

1. Title and commencement and expiry—(1) This notice may be cited as the Authorised Life Insurance Companies Notice (No. 2) 1996.

(2) This notice shall come into force on the day after its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

(3) This notice shall expire with the close of the 31st day of July 1996.

2. Interpretation—(1) In this notice “the Act” means the Securities Act 1978.

(2) Any term or expression which is not defined in this notice, but which is defined in the Act, shall have the meaning given to it by the Act.

3. Authorised life insurance companies—Each life insurance company named in the Schedule to this notice is hereby declared to be an authorised life insurance company for the purposes of the Act in respect of all life insurance policies issued by that company.

Conservation Act 1987

Setting Apart and Exchange of Land

Pursuant to section 7 (1)(a) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation hereby sets apart the land in the First Schedule hereto for conservation purposes (stewardship) and pursuant to section 16A of the Act, hereby authorises the exchange of the stewardship land described in the First Schedule hereto, for the land described in the Second Schedule hereto and further, pursuant to section 16(A)(3) of the said Act, declares that the land in the Second Schedule hereto, when acquired by way of exchange, shall be held for conservation purposes subject to section 7 (1) of the said Act.
