Medical Practitioners Act 1968

Approval of Hospitals for the Purposes of Section 16 (1) of the Medical Practitioners Act 1968

Pursuant to subsection (1) of section 16 of the Medical Practitioners Act 1968, the Minister of Health, acting on the recommendation of the Medical Council, hereby approves of the hospitals specified in the second column of the Schedule hereto, and controlled in each case by the authority indicated in respect thereof in the first column of that Schedule, as hospitals in which any person who is for the time being conditionally registered under that Act may practise medicine or surgery.

This notice amends the notice of approval of hospitals published in the New Zealand Gazette of 30 November 1995, No. 142, page 497, entitled “Approval of Hospitals for the Purposes of Section 16 (1) of the Medical Practitioners Act 1968” by adding two new hospitals to the list of approved hospitals in the Schedule to that notice, and shall be read with and form part of that notice.

Medicines Act 1981

Provisional Consent to the Distribution of a New Medicine

Pursuant to section 23 of the Medicines Act 1981, the Minister of Health hereby consents to the distribution in New Zealand of the new medicine set out in the Schedule hereto:

Conditions:

1. This provisional consent is valid for 12 months from the date of publication of this notice.

2. The health care professional who prescribes or administers HyperHep must report its use to Auckland Healthcare Limited. The report must contain the name and address of the health care professional and patient, and the reason, place, and date of administration.

3. Auckland Healthcare Limited is required to maintain a register of all patients who receive HyperHep.

4. Other conditions may be imposed from time to time by the Director-General of Health in respect of the distribution, supply, or use of this medicine.

Notice of Determination of Tax Depreciation Rates

Pursuant to section EG 14 of the Income Tax Act 1994, notice is hereby given that the Commissioner of the Inland Revenue Department has issued “Determination DEP12: Tax Depreciation Rates General Determination Number 12”, pursuant to section EG 4 of the Income Tax Act 1994. The determination may be cited as “Determination DEP12: Tax Depreciation Rates General Determination Number 12”.

Determination DEP12 will appear in Inland Revenue’s Tax Information Bulletin, Vol. 7, No. 10 of March 1996.

A copy of the determination is available from Inland Revenue offices.

Pursuant to section EG 14 of the Income Tax Act 1994, notice is hereby given that the Commissioner of the Inland Revenue Department has issued “Determination DEP13: Tax Depreciation Rates General Determination Number 13”, pursuant to section EG 4 of the Income Tax Act 1994. The determination may be cited as “Determination DEP13: Tax Depreciation Rates General Determination Number 13”.
