Road to be Stopped in Grey District

Pursuant to sections 116 and 117 of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Manager Crown Property Services, Land Information New Zealand, Christchurch, declares the portion of road described in the Schedule, to be stopped and further declares that the stopped road shall be amalgamated with the land contained in certificate of title 8B/654 (Westland Registry).

Maori Land Development Notice

Pursuant to section 21 of the Maori Affairs Restructuring Act 1989, the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Maori Development hereby gives notice as follows:

Notice

1. This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development Notice Rotorua 1996, No. 8.

2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is hereby revoked.

3. The lands described in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby released from Part II of the Maori Affairs Restructuring Act 1989.

Transport

Public Works Act 1981

Authorising a Secondary Use of Land in the Nelson Land District

Pursuant to section 191 of the Public Works Act 1981, the Minister of Transport hereby:

(a) authorises the application of the land described in the Schedule hereto, being land held primarily for navigational aid and safety purposes, to secondary use of nature preservation purposes having the characteristics of a nature reserve;

(b) specifies that the following sections of the Reserves Act 1977 shall apply to the said land subject to any limitations referred to herein—sections 20 (except that subsection (2) (c) shall not apply to any access for or on behalf of the Maritime Safety Authority of New Zealand), 40A, 40B, 42 ( to the extent it is compatible with the primary purpose), 49, 50, 51 ( to the extent it is compatible with the primary purpose), 57 (provided that subsection (2) shall not apply to access for or on behalf of the Maritime Safety Authority of New Zealand), 93–105, 118;

(c) specifies that the secondary use land may be put to the same uses as the adjoining Takapourewa Nature Reserve provided those uses are compatible and not inconsistent with the primary purpose of the land.
