Mokihinui river, downstream from the cableway at Welcome creek. all year
Buller river, downstream of Lyell confluence. all year
Nile river, downstream of Awakere confluence. all year
Grey river, downstream of Clarke confluence. all year
Lake Brunner (except that between 1 April in any year and 30 September in the following year fishing is not permitted within 100m of any inflowing tributary). all year
Arnold river. all year
Taramakau river, downstream of Stanley bridge. all year
Gooseman bridge at Jacksons. all year
Arahura river downstream of Landsburgh bridge. all year
Hokitika river, below swingbridge at lower gorge. all year
Kokatahi river, downstream of Styx confluence. all year
Lake Mahinapua and Mahinapua creek. all year

Note above restrictions on fishing near lake tributaries.

2. Authorised Tackle

2.1 A landing net or gaff may be used to land or secure any sports fish caught on a running line.

2.2 No licence holder when fishing for sports fish in the waters of Lakes Mapourika, Kaniere, Paringa, Moeraki or Ellery shall use any lure having attached to it more than one hook or a hook which is not single pointed or barbed.

3. Daily Bag Limit of Killed Sports Fish

3.1 TROUT

Murray Creek 2 trout

Ohikanui River 2 trout
Waitahu River 2 trout
Larrys Creek 2 trout
Stony Creek 2 trout

Haupiri River (Upstream of confluence with lake outlet) 2 trout

Karamea River (above cableway at mouth of lower gorge) 2 trout
Mokihinui River (upstream of cableway below Welcome Creek) 2 trout
All other waters 6 trout

3.2 SALMON

| All waters | 1 salmon |

3.3 PERCH

| All waters—perch | no limit |

3.4 No licence holder shall continue to fish for trout or salmon on any day on which he/she has already taken the limit bag.

3.5 It shall be permissible to make up the difference between a lesser bag limit prescribed in one place and a higher bag limit prescribed in another place.

4. Minimum Size

The minimum size for trout or salmon shall be:

Lake Mapourika 30 cm
Lake Paringa 30 cm
Lake Wahapo 30 cm
Lake Kaniere 30 cm
Lake Moeraki 30 cm
Lake Ellery 30 cm
All other waters no minimum size

5. Revocation

The District Anglers (West Coast Fish and Game Region) Notice 1990, and Amendments No.1, No.2 and No.3, are hereby revoked.
