Fire Service Act 1975

New Zealand Fire Service Regions and Areas Notice 1995

Pursuant to sections 24 and 25 of the Fire Service Act 1975, the New Zealand Fire Service Commission hereby gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. This notice may be cited as the New Zealand Fire Service Regions and Areas Notice 1995.

  2. This notice shall come into force on 15 May 1995.

  3. This notice revokes and is in substitution for all previous Fire Service Region and Area notices for New Zealand.

Constitution of Fire Service Regions and Areas

  1. The regions and areas listed in the Schedule are hereby constituted into Fire Service Regions and Areas.

  2. The boundaries of the constituted regions and areas listed in the Schedule are defined and delineated on a map held at the National Office of the New Zealand Fire Service, Wellington.

Schedule

Northern Region: Northland Area
Auckland Area
Waikato Area
Bay of Plenty Area

Central Region: Western North Island Area
Eastern North Island Area
Wellington Area

Southern Region: Nelson/West Coast Area
Canterbury Area
Otago Area
Southland Area

Transit New Zealand

Transit New Zealand Act 1989

Declaring State Highway to be Limited Access Road—State Highway No. 1: Temuka Bypass

It is notified that Transit New Zealand, by resolution dated 5 April 1995 and pursuant to section 88 (1) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, hereby declares that part of State Highway No. 1 at Temuka on both sides of the Temuka Bypass commencing at the southern boundary of Waitohi Road (R.P. 481/6.87) and extending to the northern abutment of the Temuka River Bridge (R.P. 481/7.75) as more particularly shown Plan 6/30/44/7604/1 and accompanying Schedule held in the office of the Regional Manager, Transit New Zealand, Christchurch, and there available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.

Revoking Section of State Highway and Declaring New Section of State Highway—State Highway No. 1 : Temuka Bypass

Pursuant to section 60 of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, the Transit New Zealand Authority gives notice that the section of State highway described in the First Schedule hereto, is revoked and the section of State highway described in the Second Schedule hereto, is declared to be State highway within the meaning and for the purpose of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989.

First Schedule

That section of State Highway No. 1 on King Street, Temuka, commencing at a point (RP 481/6.27) located 50 metres north of the northern boundary of Dyson Street and extending to a point (R.P. 481/7.48) located 250 metres south of the southern boundary of Sealy Street—a distance of approximately 1.21 kilometres.

Second Schedule

That section of the Temuka Bypass on Dyson Street and Vine Street, including the Vine Street extension, commencing at a point (R.P. 481/6.27) located 50 metres north of the northern boundary of Dyson Street and extending to a point (R.P. 481/7.51) located 250 metres south of the southern boundary of Sealy Street—a distance of approximately 1.24 kilometres.
