Transit New Zealand Act 1989

Bylaw Fixing the Maximum Speed of Vehicles on Parts of State Highway No. 1 at Woodlands in Southland at 80 KPH

Pursuant to section 61 (2) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989 and section 72 (1) (j) of the Transport Act 1962, Transit New Zealand makes the following bylaw:

  1. This bylaw may be cited as Transit New Zealand Bylaw 1995/2.

  2. This bylaw shall come into force immediately.

  3. In this bylaw “motor vehicle” has the meaning assigned to it in section 2 (1) of the Transport Act 1962.

  4. No person shall drive a motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 80 kilometres an hour on that part of State Highway No. 1 at Woodlands in Southland, from a point measured 30 metres northeast of its junction with Grove Bush-Woodlands Road (RP 902/3.33), to a point measured 30 metres southwest of its junction with Woodlands Highway.

  5. Every person who commits an offence under this bylaw is liable upon summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $500.

This bylaw is made by delegated authority from the Transit New Zealand Authority.

Pursuant to section 61 (2) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989 and section 72 (1) (j) of the Transport Act 1962, Transit New Zealand makes the following bylaw:

  1. This bylaw may be cited as Transit New Zealand Bylaw 1995/1.

  2. This bylaw shall come into force immediately.

  3. In this bylaw “motor vehicle” has the meaning assigned to it in section 2 (1) of the Transport Act 1962.

  4. No person shall drive a motor vehicle at a speed exceeding 80 kilometres an hour on that part of State Highway No. 6, North Road in Invercargill City, from a point measured 580 metres north of its junction with Moore Road (RP 1168/0.90), to a point measured 200 metres north of its junction with West Plains Road (RP 1168/2.49), a distance of approximately 1.59 kilometres.

  5. Every person who commits an offence under this bylaw is liable upon summary conviction to a fine not exceeding $500.

This bylaw is made by delegated authority from the Transit New Zealand Authority.

Exchange of Marginal Strips

Pursuant to section 24e of the Conservation Act 1987, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, Department of Conservation, Hokitika, hereby authorises the exchange of the marginal strips described in the First Schedule hereto, for the marginal strips described in the Second Schedule hereto.

First Schedule

6.5 hectares, more or less, situated in Block XI, Waimea Survey District, being all that land marked as “A” and “B” on S.O. Plan 12228.

Westland Land District—Westland District

Second Schedule

All that area of land situated in Blocks VII and XI, Waimea Survey District, lying between Sections 1 and 2, S.O. Plan 12229, and noted on the said plan as being subject to section 24 of the Conservation Act 1987.
