Land Acquired for River Protection Purposes in Marlborough District

Pursuant to section 20 of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Manager, Lands and Property, Department of Survey and Land Information, Christchurch, declares that, an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby acquired for river protection purposes and shall vest in The Marlborough District Council on the date of publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

16.8170 hectares, situated in Block VI, Cloudy Bay Survey District, being parts of Section 122, Wairau West Registration District and part of Sections 124 and 136, Wairau West Registration District; as shown marked “B”, “C”, and “D” on S.O. Plan 7159, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Blenheim.

Land Declared to be Road, Road to be Stopped in Marlborough District

Pursuant to Part VIII of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Manager, Lands and Property, Department of Survey and Land Information, Christchurch:

(a) Pursuant to section 114, declares the land described in the First Schedule hereto to be road and vested in The Marlborough District Council.

(b) Pursuant to sections 116 and 117, declares the piece of road described in the Second Schedule hereto to be stopped and that the said stopped road, now known as Section 1, S.O. 7170, shall be amalgamated with the land in certificate of title, Volume 5C, folio 1462, Marlborough Registry.
