Results of the General Election for Membership of the Council of the Pharmaceutical Society of New Zealand November 1995

Notice is hereby given of the result of an election of members of the Council of the Pharmaceutical Society of New Zealand held on Friday, 24 November 1995.

Auckland District
5 candidates were nominated for three vacancies. 604 ballot papers were issued, 283 were returned and the poll resulted:

  • David John McFadzien 162
  • Derek Charles William Lang 131
  • David Leonard Donaldson 113
  • Eleanor Ann Hawthorn 224
  • Ronald Peter Miller 153

Eleanor Ann Hawthorn, David John McFadzien and Ronald Peter Miller were the successful candidates and I declare them duly elected.

Wellington District
3 candidates were nominated for two vacancies. 325 ballot papers were issued, 183 were returned and the poll resulted:

  • Glen Bailey Caves 140

  • David Warwick Thompson 106

  • Lorraine Jessica Balfour 98

Glen Bailey Caves and David Warwick Thompson were the successful candidates and I declare them duly elected.

Canterbury District
1 candidate was nominated for one vacancy.
