Traffic Regulations Exemption Notice—Glazing
Pursuant to regulation 90 of the Traffic Regulations 1976, and in exercise of powers delegated to me pursuant to section 28 of the Land Transport Act 1993, by way of instrument of delegation dated 10 August 1994, I, John Andrew Justice, Manager Compliance, hereby exempt vehicles of the classes listed in the first column of the Schedule hereto from the requirements of regulations 73 and 73A of the said Traffic Regulations 1976 with regard to the glazing described in the second column of the Schedule only in so far as it affects the optical properties of the glazing and subject to the conditions in the third column of the Schedule.

| All vehicles. | Glazing behind the rear of the driver’s seat which either has a light transmittance of zero (ie completely opaque), or which completely diffuses incident light. | The vehicle must be fitted with external mirrors on both sides. |
| Motor cars, goods vehicles other than heavy motor vehicles. | Glazing behind the rear of the driver’s seat which has a light transmittance less than 70% but greater than zero, and which passes coherent light. | The vehicles must be fitted with external mirrors on both sides, and an opaque transverse partition for the full height and full width of the vehicle must be permanently installed between the driver and any exempted glazing. |
| Large passenger services vehicles; and heavy motor vehicles with permanent body structures which completely obstruct the driver’s view through the rearmost window. | Glazing behind the rear of the driver’s seat which has a light transmittance less than 70% but greater than zero. | The vehicles must be fitted with external mirrors on both sides. |
| Small passenger service vehicles. | Glazing in rear-most windows to which advertising transfers or other treatments have been applied under a contractual arrangement entered into before the commencement of this exemption notice. | Only for the term of any contract signed before publication of this notice. Waiapu Rural Fire District Notice 1991 Amendment No. 1
Pursuant to the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977, the National Rural Fire Authority hereby makes the following notice.
Notice
- Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Waiapu Rural Fire District Notice 1992 Amendment No. 1 and shall be read with and deemed part of the notice constituting the Waiapu Rural Fire District made on the 10th day of May 1991 (a) (hereinafter referred to as the principal notice).
(2) This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of April 1995.
- Amendment of Rural Fire District—(1) The Schedule to the principal notice is hereby amended by omitting the Schedule thereto and substituting the Schedule set out herein.

Gisborne Land District—Gisborne District—Waiapu Rural Fire District

All those parcels containing 12,950 hectares, more or less; as marked “A” to “X” inclusive on S.O. Plan 8473, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Gisborne.

Where a boundary is shown there shall be immediately adjacent to those lands a fire safety margin of one kilometre deemed to be within the boundaries of the Waiapu Rural Fire District, but does not include:
(1) Where the fire safety margin overlaps an adjacent Rural Fire District; or
(2) Any Fire District within the meaning of the Fire Service Act 1975.
- The boundaries are more particularly delineated, but excluding the fire safety margin on those plans NRFA 102 entitled Waiapu Rural Fire District, deposited in the National Headquarters of the New Zealand Fire Service at Wellington.
