Classification and Naming of Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Manager (Protection), Auckland Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, hereby classifies the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, as a scenic reserve, subject to the provisions of section 19 (1) (a) of the Reserves Act 1977, and further declares that the said reserve shall hereafter be known as the Rakitu Island Scenic Reserve.

253.3332 hectares, more or less, being an island called or known by the name of Rakitu, numbered 2163, situated near Great Barrier Island. All certificate of title 75C/665.

Revocation of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, Canterbury, hereby revokes the reservation as a local purpose (plantation) reserve over the land described in the Schedule hereto, and further, declares that the said land may be disposed of by The Waimakariri District Council at current market value. Proceeds from any such sale to be paid into the council’s reserves account, such moneys to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other reserves under the control of the council, or in or towards the purchase of other land for reserves.

Revocation of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, Canterbury, hereby revokes the reservation as a recreation reserve over the land described in the Schedule
