Conservation Act 1987

Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes Together With a Classification and Naming of a Reserve

Pursuant to section 7 (1) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation and the Minister of Lands, being the Minister responsible for the Department of State that has control of the land described in the First Schedule hereto, jointly declare that the land is held for conservation purposes and pursuant to section 7 (1A) of the said Act, the Minister of Conservation declares that the land in the Second Schedule hereto, is held for conservation purposes and further, pursuant to section 8(1A) of the said Act, the Minister of Conservation declares that the conservation area described in the Third Schedule hereto, shall hereafter be set apart as a reserve, subject to the Reserves Act 1977, and classified as a scenic reserve, subject to the provisions of the latter Act and further, declares that the said reserve shall hereafter be known as the Mataura Range Scenic Reserve.

First Schedule

978.0000 hectares, more or less, being part Section 1, S.O. 11976, situated in Blocks III and VI, Eyre Survey District.

Second Schedule

573.7500 hectares, more or less, being part Section 1, S.O. 11976, situated in Blocks III and VI, Eyre Survey District.

Third Schedule

1551.7500 hectares, more or less, being part Section 1, S.O. 11976, situated in Blocks III and VI, Eyre Survey District.

Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes

Pursuant to section 7 (1A) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation, declares that, the land described in the Schedule hereto, is held for conservation purposes and it shall hereafter be so held.

3.8930 hectares, more or less, being Section 327, situated in Block I, Takitimu Survey District. S.O. 10160. The above land having an appurtenant Right of Way over Section 328, Block I, Takitimu Survey District, created by T. 117648.2 and appurtenant rights to convey water over Section 328, Block I, Takitimu Survey District, created by T. 117648.3.

Notification of Disposal of Conservation Land

Pursuant to section 26 of the Conservation Act 1987, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, Bay of Plenty Conservancy, Department of Conservation, hereby declares that the land formerly held for conservation purposes, described in the Schedule hereto has been vested in Wharepakau as Maori freehold land pursuant to Te Ture Whenua Maori Act 1993 for NIL consideration.
