Union of Reserves and Appointment of Te Kotahitanga Marae O Otangarei Incorporated to Control and Manage

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, Northland Conservancy, Department of Conservation, hereby declares that, on and after the date of publication of this notice, the reserves described in the Schedules hereto, shall be united to form one reserve to be known as Papatu Reserve, and further appoints the Te Kotahitanga Marae O Otangarei Incorporated to control and manage the said reserve as a local purpose (site for an urban marae) reserve, subject to the provisions of the said Act.

First Schedule

North Auckland Land District—Whangarei District

415 square metres, more or less, being Section 1, S.O. 62619, situated in Block VIII, Purua Survey District.

Second Schedule

North Auckland Land District—Whangarei District

1510 square metres, more or less, being Lot 1, D.P. 103764, situated in Block VIII, Purua Survey District.

Declaration That Land is a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, Northland Conservancy, Department of Conservation, notifies that the following resolution was passed by The Whangarei District Council on the 25th day of May 1994:

"That in exercise of its powers conferred on it by section 14 of the Reserves Act 1977, The Whangarei District Council resolves that the piece of land held by the said district council in fee simple, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be, and the same is hereby declared to be a local purpose (site for an urban marae) reserve within the meaning of the said Act."

Maori Land Development Notice

Pursuant to section 21 of the Maori Affairs Restructuring Act 1989, the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Maori Development hereby gives notice as follows:

N o t i c e

1. This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development Notice Whangarei 1994, No. 24.

2. The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is, in relation only to the piece of land described in the Second Schedule hereto, hereby revoked.

3. The land described in the Second Schedule hereto, is hereby released from Part II of the Maori Affairs Restructuring Act 1989.
