The following are placed on the Retired List of the RNZNVR with effect from the date shown:
Commander Thomas Carson, V.R.D., 26 March 1994.
Lieutenant Commander George Ross Gibson, M.B.E., V.R.D., 1 April 1994.
Lieutenant Commander Julian Arthur James Lillico, V.R.D., 31 March 1993.
The appointment of acting Surgeon Commander Roger Harman Weeks, B.CHIR., M.B., F.R.C.S.(ENG.), F.R.C.S.(EDIN.), M.A., is extended until 29 April 1994; and he is placed on the Retired List of the RNZNVR in the rank of Surgeon Commander with effect from 30 April 1994.
Lieutenant Commander William Ernest Gilray, V.R.D., is placed on the Retired List of the RNZNVR with effect from 10 December 1993.
Lieutenant Commander F.J. Gillon, V.R.D., to be Commander with seniority and effect from 1 July 1994.
Lieutenant Commander I.F.P. Martin is transferred to the Inactive List of the RNZNVR with effect from 5 April 1994.
Lieutenant Commander Brian Wayne Chambers is placed on the Retired List of the RNZNVR with effect from 11 December 1993.
The engagement of Lieutenant Commander G.T. Ballantyne on the Special Service List of the RNZNVR is extended until 1 March 1995.
The appointment of Lieutenant (on prob.) Michael Ronald Wall lapses with effect from 1 December 1990.
Lieutenant G.G. Mattson is transferred to the RNZNR in his present rank and seniority with effect from 31 March 1994.
Acting Lieutenant Commander G.L. Grenfell to be Lieutenant Commander with seniority and effect from 18 March 1993.
The engagement of Lieutenant D.J. Fisher on the Special Service List of the RNZNVR is extended until 31 January 1995.
Acting Lieutenant Commander J.B. Shankland to be Lieutenant Commander with seniority and effect from 1 July 1994.
Lieutenant Mark Alfred Maguire, V.R.D., N.Z.C.C.T., is placed on the Retired List of the RNZNVR with effect from 23 March 1994.
The appointment of Lieutenant R.C.E. Derrett is extended until 26 February 1996; and he is transferred to the Inactive List of the RNZNVR with effect from 27 February 1994.
Lieutenant B.J. Bennett, B.SC., is transferred to the Inactive List of the RNZNVR with effect from 1 July 1993.
Peter Christopher Roe, B.TH. (Roman Catholic), is appointed to the RNZNVR in the rank of Chaplain Class IV (on prob.), with seniority from 1 April 1993 and effect from 1 March 1994.
Kennth Gordon Marshall is appointed to the RNZNVR in the rank of Lieutenant (on prob.), with seniority from 1 December 1991 and effect from 1 June 1994.
The appointment of acting Lieutenant Robert Maundrell Young is terminated with effect from 1 May 1994.

Pursuant to section 146 and 155 of the Education Act 1989, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice:
N o t i c e

This notice may be cited as Te Kura Kaupapa Maori A Rohe O Rakaumanga.

This notice shall come into force on 12 September 1994.

I hereby designate Rakaumanga School as a Kura Kaupapa Maori.

Aims, purposes and objectives of Te Kura Kaupapa Maori A Rohe O Rakaumanga may be defined as promoting:
(a) The acquisition of appropriate academic skills and knowledge which will allow students to succeed in later life experiences.
(b) The acquisition of skills and knowledge through the medium of Te Reo Maori.
(c) The retention and enhancement of the Waikato dialect, its kawa and tikanga.
(d) A Maori and local perspective on knowledge and the world.
(e) Community control and involvement in the school, and with the education of their children.
(f) The provision of a teaching and learning environment.
