Notice to the Broadcasting Commission in Relation to Administrative Expenses

To the Broadcasting Commission.

Pursuant to section 49 (1) of the Broadcasting Act 1989, I hereby give you notice that you may spend $1,505,000 (one million five hundred and five thousand dollars) on account of your administrative expenses, excluding those administrative expenses involved in collecting public broadcasting fees, in the financial year commencing on the 1st day of July 1994 and ending with the close of the 30th day of June 1995.

Pursuant to sections 28 (1) and 32 of the Defence Act 1990, Her Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Naval Forces.

ROYAL NEW ZEALAND NAVY

Chief of Naval Staff

Rear Admiral Ian Alexander Hunter, C.B., is placed on the Retired List of the RNZN with effect from 8 April 1994.

Commodore J.E.N. Welch to be Rear Admiral with seniority and effect from 8 April 1994 and is appointed Chief of Naval Staff for a period of two years.

Chaplain Peter Douglas Bean, L.Th., is placed on the Retired List of the RNZN with effect from 2 April 1994.
