NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE

Whakarewa Te Reo'', published in the New Zealand Gazette on 14 January 1993, No. 2, page 6, is hereby amended by omitting clause 5, and substituting it with the following clause:

'5. Constitution of the Board of Trustees—The Board of Trustees of Te Kura Kaupapa Maori O Whakarewa Te Reo shall comprise:

(a) five (5) elected parent representatives;

(b) the tumuaki (the principal);

(c) a staff representative; and

(d) not more than four (4) persons co-opted by the Board''.

Pursuant to section 155 (8) of the Education Act 1989, and to a delegation from the Minister of Education, the Group Manager Implementation, Ministry of Education, Wellington, hereby gives the following notice:

  1. This notice may be cited as the Te Kura Kaupapa Maori O Takapau Amendment Notice 1994.

  2. This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

  3. The notice entitled, ''Te Kura Kaupapa Maori O Takapau'', published in the New Zealand Gazette on 9 September 1993, No. 131, page 2680, is hereby amended by omitting clause 5, and substituting it with the following clause:

'5. Constitution of the Board of Trustees—The Board of Trustees of Te Kura Kaupapa Maori O Takapau shall comprise:

(a) five (5) elected parent representatives;

(b) the principal;

(c) a staff representative; and

(d) not more than four (4) persons co-opted by the Board''.

'5. Constitution of the Board of Trustees—The Board of Trustees of Te Kura Kaupapa Maori O Te Pi'ipi'inga Kakano Mai Rangiatea shall comprise:

(a) five elected parent representatives

(b) the principal

(c) a staff representative

(d) not more than four persons co-opted by the Board''.

Qualifications Recognised by the Secretary for Education for the Purpose of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1990

Pursuant to regulation 40 of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1990, I hereby amend the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette of the 25th day of July 1991, No. 110, pages 2430–2431.

Where an early childhood centre is a Playcentre affiliated to the New Zealand Playcentre Federation and operates under the group supervision collective points system, the Secretary for Education hereby recognises the following certificates awarded by the Playcentre Association.

Wairarapa Playcentre Association

  • Understanding Playcentre ... 10 points
  • Centre Enrichment ... 20 points
  • Active participant ... 30 points

This notice shall come into force the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
