Mining Act 1971

Notice of Surrender of a Mining Privilege Held by or on Behalf of the Crown

Pursuant to the provisions of section 132 (3) of the Mining Act 1971, the Minister of Energy hereby declares mining licence 32 533, held by the Secretary of Mines, Wellington (on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen) to be surrendered. The land which was subject to the said licence is described in the Schedule hereto.

All that area of land in the Otago Land District containing 35.7021 hectares, situated in Section 39, Block II, Dart District, Otago Land District.

Conservation Act 1987

Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes Together With a Declaration That the Area Become a Historic Reserve

Pursuant to section 7 (1) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation and the Minister of Forestry, being the Minister responsible for the Department of State that has control of the land described in the Schedule hereto, jointly declare that the land is held for conservation purposes and pursuant to section 8 (1A) of the Act the Minister of Conservation further declares that the conservation area shall hereafter be set apart as a reserve subject to the Reserves Act 1977 and classified as a historic reserve subject to the provisions of section 18 of the latter Act.

Reserves Act 1977

Declaration That Private Land Shall be Protected Private Land

Pursuant to section 76 of the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator of the Wellington Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, hereby declares that in terms of an agreement dated 24 November 1994 between the Minister of Conservation and Donald Lachlan Campbell of Ohau, farmer and Fay Marian Campbell, his wife, the private land described in the Schedule hereto, shall be protected private land for scenic purposes, subject to the provisions of section 19 (1) (a) of the said Act.

Classification of Reserves and Vesting of Reserves in The Selwyn District Council

The Regional Conservator, Canterbury acting under a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, hereby classifies the reserves, described in the Schedule hereto, as reserves for the purposes specified at the end of the respective descriptions of the said reserves, subject to the provisions of the said Act, and vests the said reserves in The Selwyn District Council in trust for the purposes stated.
