Pursuant to section 48 (2) (f) of the Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986, and pursuant to a delegation given by the Director of Land Transport Safety in an instrument of delegation dated the 10th day of August 1994, I, Roy Harold Hitchcock, Compliance Officer, Safer People and Operators, hereby approve the following organisation to conduct a course in map reading for the purposes of regulation 11 (1) (c) of the Transport (Driver Licensing) Regulations 1987:

Defensive Driving (Opunake), Defensive Driving Course, Opunake.

Notice of Indemnities Given, Pursuant to Section 59 of the Public Finance Act 1989—Tourist Hotel Corporation of New Zealand Limited (“THC”)—National Provident Fund (“NPF”)—Development Finance Corporation Limited (“DFC”)

The following statement is made pursuant to section 59 (2) of the Public Finance Act 1989:

On 15 June 1990, the Minister of Finance gave an indemnity to THC with respect to potential tax liabilities of THC as part of the sale of THC.

On 21 September 1990, the Minister of Finance gave an indemnity to NPF with respect to potential tax liabilities of NPF as part of the DFC settlement.

On 21 September 1990, the Minister of Finance gave an indemnity to the DFC Group with respect to potential tax liabilities of DFC Group as part of the DFC settlement.
