Securities Amendment Act 1988

The Authorised Futures Dealers Notice 1994

Pursuant to the Securities Amendment Act 1988, the Securities Commission gives the following notice.

Notice

1. Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as The Authorised Futures Dealers Notice 1994.

(2) This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the New Zealand Gazette.

2. Interpretation—(1) In this notice, unless the context otherwise requires, “The Act” means the Securities Amendment Act 1988.

(2) Any term or expression that is not defined in this notice, but that is defined in the Act, has the meaning given to it by the Act.

3. Persons authorised to carry on business of dealing in futures contracts—Each of the persons named in the Schedule to this notice is authorised to carry on the business of dealing in futures contracts generally.

(2) The authorisation of each of the persons referred to in subclause (1) of this clause is subject to the condition that the person does not carry on the business of dealing in futures contracts except:

(a) As part of the business of that person as a fund manager; or

(b) As part of the duties and functions of that person as a trustee of any managed funds.

Pursuant to section 6 of the Securities Amendment Act 1988, the Securities Commission gives notice that:

Conservation

Conservation Act 1987

Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes

Pursuant to section 7 (1) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation and the Minister of Lands, being the Minister responsible for the Department of State that has control of the land, hereby jointly declare that, the land described in the Schedule hereto, is held for conservation purposes, and shall therefore be so held.

Otago Land District—Dunedin City

3.8414 hectares, more or less, being Section 1, S.O. 23214, situated in Block III, Waikouaiti Survey District.

Subject to a lease under section 67 (2) of the Land Act 1948, to the Dunedin Museum of Transport and Technology for a term of 21 years from 1 July 1977.
