Conservation Act 1987

Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes Together With a Declaration That the Same Land Become a Local Purpose Reserve Vested in The Grey District Council

Pursuant to section 7 (1) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation and the Minister of Lands, being the Minister responsible for the Department of State that has control of the land described in the Schedule hereto, jointly declare that the land is held for conservation purposes, and pursuant to section 8 (1A) of the Act, the Minister of Conservation further declares that the conservation area shall hereafter be held as a reserve, subject to the Reserves Act 1977, and classified as a local purpose reserve (water supply), subject to the provisions of the latter Act, and further vests the said reserve in The Grey District Council in trust for that purpose.

Westland Land District—Grey District

2,0250 hectares, more or less, being Section 1, S.O. Plan 12020, situated in Block II, Maweranui Survey District.

Pursuant to section 7 (1) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation and the Minister of Lands, being the Minister responsible for the Department of State that has control of the land described in the Schedule hereto, jointly declare that the land is held for conservation purposes, and pursuant to section 8 (1A) of the Act, the Minister of Conservation further declares that the conservation area shall hereafter be set apart as a reserve, subject to the Reserves Act 1977, and classified as a scenic reserve, subject to the provisions of section 19 (1A) of the latter Act.

Wellington Land District—Taupo District

33.7700 hectares, more or less, being Section 4, Block IV, Pihanga Survey District. S.O. 31969. Part Proclamations 1629, 1716 and 3091.

15.1500 hectares, more or less, being Section 15, Block XI, Puketi Survey District. S.O. 34460. Part Proclamations 1629 and 1716.

Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes Together With a Declaration That the Area Become a Reserve, Classification of a Reserve and Vesting of a Reserve in the Hurunui District Council

Pursuant to section 7 (1) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation and the Minister of Lands, being the Minister responsible for the Department of State that has control of the land described in the Schedule hereto, jointly declare that the land is held for conservation purposes and pursuant to section 8 (1A) of the Act, the Minister of Conservation further declares that the conservation area shall hereafter be set apart as a reserve subject to the Reserves Act 1977, classified as a recreation reserve and vested in The Hurunui District Council, in trust, for recreation purposes, subject to the provisions of the latter Act.

Canterbury Land District—Hurunui District

21.9670 hectares, being Rural Section 42114. All Conservation Land Section 62, Conservation Act 1987. S.O. 165563.

Setting Apart Part of Fiordland National Park as a Specially Protected Area

Present:

HER EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to section 12 of the National Parks Act 1980, Her Excellency the Governor-General acting with the advice and consent of the Executive Council hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, as from the date hereof, be set apart as a specially protected area.

Southland Land District—Southland District

All that area of land in Fiordland National Park known as Breaksea, Wairaki and Hawea Islands and the Island commonly called Outer Gilbert No. 3 as well as all surrounding Islands and Islets above mean high water springs encompassed by a circle of radius 2 kilometres centred at Grid Reference 850 950 N.Z.M.S. 1 Sheet S 147 as more particularly shown by a bold black line on S.O 11896.
