Appropriation (Financial Review)
Provides for the sanction, validation and confirmation of financial matters relating to the financial year ended to the 30th day of June 1992.

Wildlife Amendment
Amends the Wildlife Act 1953 and facilitates the establishment of a game bird habitat stamp programme modelled on the United States programme. The sale of stamps, which are not postage stamps, is to be managed by the New Zealand Fish and Game Council and district fish and game councils. The New Zealand Bird Habitat Trust Board is also to be established. This board is to be charged with holding and allocating stamp revenue in accordance with regulations.

Air Facilitation
Amends the Customs Act 1966 and the Immigration Act 1987 to enable customs and immigration checks to be made on internationally ticketed passengers flying on international flights travelling between two New Zealand Customs airports, and which form part of the domestic sector of their travel.

The Methodist Church Property Trust Amendment Bill

Notice to Introduce Bill
Notice is hereby given of the intention of the Methodist Church of New Zealand to apply for leave to introduce into the House of Representatives a private bill to be named The Methodist Church Property Trust Amendment Bill.

The objects of the bill are as follows:

  1. To remove the word “Wesleyan” from any enactment or document which affects the Church.
  2. To authorise the Church to hold land either by:
    (a) trustees under the model deed;
    (b) any board of the Church incorporated under the Charitable Trusts Act 1957;
    (c) such other manner as the conference of the church approves; and

validates the holding of land by any such method prior to the passing of the bill.

The promoter of the bill is the Methodist Church of New Zealand whose address for service is at the offices of Cairns Slane, Solicitors, 156 Vincent Street (P.O. Box 6849), Auckland 1.

A copy of the bill may be inspected at the Christchurch District Court Office, Law Courts Building, Armagh Street, Christchurch and at the office of Cairns Slane, Auckland (at the address stated above).

Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988

Notice of Review of Need for Continued Imposition of Anti-Dumping Duty on Refined Sugar from Malaysia, Thailand, the Federal Republic of Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Denmark

I, Philip Burdon, Minister of Commerce, hereby give notice that, pursuant to section 19(3) of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988 and section 186L(5) of the Customs Act 1966 (as inserted by section 2(1) of the Customs Amendment Act (No. 3) 1987), I shall review the need for the continued imposition of the anti-dumping duty on the goods described in Schedule 1 hereto, which duty was imposed by the Minister of Customs by notice dated 9 November 1988 published in the New Zealand Gazette of 10 November 1988, and that pursuant to section 14(5) of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988, I shall review the need for the continued imposition of the anti-dumping duty on the goods described in Schedule 2 hereto, which duty was imposed by the Minister of Commerce by notice dated 7 June 1989 published in the New Zealand Gazette of 15 June 1989.
