Present:
HER EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL

Pursuant to section 8 of the Local Authority Reorganisation (Property Transfers) Act 1990, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.

Order

Title and Commencement—(1) This order may be cited as The Local Government (Southland Harbour Board Property) Reorganisation Order 1993.

(2) This order shall come into force on the 28th day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

(3) The Southland Harbour Board referred to in this order was a local authority dissolved on 1 November 1989 under section 36 of the Local Government Act 1974.

Vesting of Property—The property paid and/or transferred by the Southland Harbour Board to the trustees of the South Port Staff Benefit Trust created by Deed dated the 6th day of December 1988 and more particularly identified as:

(a) the deposit of $500,000 made by the Southland Harbour Board with Westpac Banking Corporation on 26 September 1988 and repayable on 19 January 1989, and thereafter paid to the South Port Staff Benefit Trust together with all interest earned thereon; and

(b) one million shares in the capital of South Port, transferred by the Southland Harbour Board on 26 September 1989, to the trustees of the South Port Staff Benefit Trust, together with all dividends declared thereon or paid to the South Port Staff Benefit Trust;

are hereby vested in The Southland Regional Council.
