equipment to which subclause (1) of this clause applies shall be—

(a) CISPR publication 15, 1992:

(b) Australian Standard/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 4051, 1992:

(c) European Standard EN55015, 1993.

(4) Interfering equipment falling within the classes referred to in subclause (1) of this clause shall comply with one of the standards specified in subclause (3) of this clause.

(5) For the purposes of complying with any of the standards prescribed in subclause (3) of this clause, a minimum of 3 samples of the interfering equipment shall be tested using the statistical method of evaluation described in the standards.

  1. Standards for overhead power lines—(1) Overhead power lines are hereby prescribed as a class of interfering equipment.

(2) The level of conformity applicable to the class of interfering equipment to which subclause (1) of this clause applies shall be level N.

(3) The standard applicable to the class of interfering equipment to which subclause (1) of this clause applies shall be specification RFS 38, Issue 1, November 1993.

(4) For the purposes of determining whether interfering equipment to which subclause (1) of this clause applies meets the standard specified in subclause (3) of this clause, the equipment shall be tested, and the results of such tests interpreted, in accordance with CISPR publication 18-2, 1986.

  1. Standards for information technology equipment—(1) Information technology equipment is hereby prescribed as a class of interfering equipment.

(2) The level of conformity applicable to the class of interfering equipment to which subclause (1) of this clause applies shall be level 1.

(3) The standard applicable to the class of interfering equipment to which subclause (1) of this clause applies shall be—

(a) CISPR publication 22, 1985:

(b) Australian Standard/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 3548,1992:

(c) European Standard EN55022, 1992:

(d) Those sections of the Code of Federal Regulations CFR47, Part 15 that prescribe standards for digital devices.

(4) Interfering equipment falling within the classes referred to in subclause (1) of this clause shall comply with one of the standards specified in subclause (3) of this clause.

  1. Standards for electrical and electronic apparatus intended for use in residential, commercial and light-industrial environments—(1) Electrical and electronic apparatus intended for use in residential, commercial and light-industrial environments, for which no dedicated product or product-family emission standard exists as identified in clauses 1 to 8 of this notice are hereby prescribed as classes of interfering equipment.

(2) The level of conformity applicable to the classes of interfering equipment to which subclause (1) of this clause applies shall—

(a) If they include—

(i) A switched-mode power supply; or

(ii) An electronic transformer; or

(iii) An electronic lighting ballast; or

(iv) A microprocessor or other clocked digital device; or

(v) A local oscillator; or

(vi) A commutator or slip ring motor; or

(vi) A motor speed controller—

be level 1; or

(b) If they do not include any of the features specified in paragraph (a) of this subclause, be level 0.

(3) Subject to subclause (4) of this clause, the standard applicable to the classes of interfering equipment to which subclause (1) of this clause applies shall be European Standard EN50081-1, 1992.

(4) Classes of interfering equipment to which subclause (1) of this clause applies need not comply with the limits specified in European Standard EN50081-1, 1992 for emissions on frequencies below 150 kilohertz or on frequencies above one gigahertz.

  1. Standard for single sideband radio apparatus for use in voluntary equipped ships and private coast stations—(1) Single sideband radio apparatus for use in voluntary equipped ships and private coast stations is hereby prescribed as a class of interfering equipment.

(2) The level of conformity applicable to the class of interfering equipment to which subclause (1) of this clause applies shall be level 2.

(3) The standard applicable to the class of interfering equipment to which subclause (1) of this clause applies shall be specification RFS 17, Issue 1, December 1993.

  1. Standard for base and vehicle mounted single sideband radio apparatus for use in the fixed and land mobile services—(1) Base and vehicle mounted single sideband radio apparatus for use in the fixed and land mobile services is hereby prescribed as a class of interfering equipment.

(2) The level of conformity applicable to the class of interfering equipment to which subclause (1) of this clause applies shall be level 2.

(3) The standard applicable to the class of interfering equipment to which subclause (1) of this clause applies shall be specification RFS 18, Issue 1, December 1993.

  1. Standard for handheld and manpack single sideband radio apparatus for use in the land mobile service—(1) Handheld and manpack single sideband radio apparatus for use in the land mobile service is hereby prescribed as a class of interfering equipment.

(2) The level of conformity applicable to the class of interfering equipment to which subclause (1) of this clause applies shall be level 2.

(3) The standard applicable to the class of interfering equipment to which subclause (1) of this clause applies shall be specification RFS 19, Issue 1, December 1993.

  1. Standard for VHF amplitude modulated radio apparatus for use in the land mobile service with a carrier separation of 12.5 kHz—(1) VHF amplitude modulated radio apparatus for use in the land mobile service with a carrier separation of 12.5 kHz is hereby prescribed as a class of interfering equipment.

(2) The level of conformity applicable to the class of interfering equipment to which subclause (1) of this clause applies shall be level 2.

(3) The standard applicable to the class of interfering equipment to which subclause (1) of this clause applies shall be specification RFS 21, Issue 1, December 1991.

  1. Standard for citizen band radio apparatus—(1) Citizen band radio apparatus is hereby prescribed as a class of interfering equipment.

(2) The level of conformity applicable to the class of interfering equipment to which subclause (1) of this clause applies shall be level 2.

(3) The standard applicable to the class of interfering
