Land in the Otago Land Registration District—East Taieri Survey District being land east of the Silverstream Valley road described as being Part Sections 1, 2 and 8, Block XIV, East Taieri Survey District, together with the closed road intersecting Part Sections 1, 2 and 7, Block XIV, East Taieri Survey District, and that part of Section 7, Block XIV East Taieri Survey District, west of the closed road alignment.

Such lands are partially contained in certificates of title, Volume 4C, folio 598 and Volume 4C, folio 648 (Otago Land Registry).

Fisheries Act 1983

The Fisheries (Chatham Islands Rock Lobster Closed Season) Notice (No. 2) (No. 5211)

Pursuant to section 85 of the Fisheries Act 1983, the Director-General of Agriculture and Fisheries, after consultation with the Director-General of Conservation and the Fishing Industry Board, pursuant to sections 85 and 86 of the Fisheries Act 1983, hereby gives the following notice.

Notice

  1. Title and commencement—This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Chatham Islands Rock Lobster Closed Season) Notice (No. 2) and shall come into force on the 15th day of March 1993.

  2. Interpretation—In this notice the term:

“Rock Lobster” means those fish on which the scientific names are Jasus edwardsii (commonly known as the spiny or red rock lobster) and Jasus verreauxi (commonly known as the packhorse or green rock lobster).

“Chatham Islands rock lobster fishery” means the rock lobster fishery bounded by all that area of New Zealand’s fisheries waters enclosed by a line commencing at a point 40° 25′ S and 178° W on the outer limits of the exclusive economic zone; then proceeding along the outer limits of the zone to a position 51° 50′ S and 174° 35′ E; then proceeding in a straight line to a position 50° 55′ S and 173° 50′ E; then proceeding along the outer limits of the zone to a position 48° 15′ S and 174° E; then proceeding in a straight line to the point of commencement.

  1. Closed season of rock lobster determined—There is hereby determined to be a closed season for rock lobster in the Chatham Islands rock lobster fishery commencing on the 15th day of March 1993 and expiring with the 14th day of May 1993, both days inclusive.

  2. Revocations—The Fisheries (Chatham Islands Rock Lobster Closed Season) Notice (No. 5210) published in the New Zealand Gazette on 28 January 1993, Issue No. 11, at page 190, is hereby revoked.

Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988

Preliminary Determination: Home Brew Beer Kits From the United Kingdom

Pursuant to section 12 (1) of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988, I, Philip Burdon, Minister of Commerce, hereby give notice that I have made a preliminary determination on the basis of the information made available during the investigation that there is reasonable cause to believe that home brew beer kits listed in the Schedule to this notice, sourced from the United Kingdom and imported or intended to be imported into New Zealand, are goods in respect of which I may direct the imposition of an anti-dumping duty in accordance with section 14 of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988.

Pursuant to section 12 (3) of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988, I hereby give notice of a provisional direction, in accordance with section 16 (1) of the Dumping and Countervailing Duties Act 1988, that payment, in respect of the said goods, of anti-dumping duty described in the Schedule to this notice, shall be secured by the Collector of Customs in accordance with part IX of the Customs Act 1966, on those goods entered for home consumption on or after the 28th day of January 1993.

Description of Goods Subject to Investigation: Home brew beer kits which contain liquid hopped malt extract or a mixture of hopped malt/barley extract whether or not packed with yeast.

The goods are currently classified under Tariff Item and Statistical Keys 1901.90.09.02J or 1901.90.09.11H, of the Tariff of New Zealand. The Tariff Items and Statistical Keys are provided for convenience and Customs purposes only, the written description being dispositive.

Amount of Provisional Anti-Dumping Duty

The amount of provisional anti-dumping duty to be paid in respect of the declared value for duty of the goods subject to investigation shall be as follows:
