Pursuant to section 439 (5) (b) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, on the recommendation of the Maori Land Court, the Maori reservation in respect of the lands described in the Schedule hereto set apart by notice in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 58, page 1723 of the 29th day of September 1965 is hereby cancelled.

Notice is hereby given that by virtue of section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, and pursuant to a recommendation of the Maori Land Court, the land described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a marae for the people of New Zealand.

Pursuant to section 439 (1) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, on the recommendation of the Maori Land Court, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purposes of a marae, papa kainga, recreation, kauta maara flats and urupa for the common use and benefit of the Ngatihaunua hapu, Ngati Manipoto iwi who are members of Te Awhitu Whanau Whanui.

Notice Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation

Pursuant to section 439 (1) of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, on the recommendation of the Maori Land Court, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a marae, church and education site for the common use and benefit of those persons who would qualify for membership of Te Runanga Otakou Incorporated Society, they being the descendants of Te Pahi, the descendants of the original Crown Grantee of Otakou Native Reserve (1868), the descendants of the official 1848 Kaumatua list as recognised from time to time by the Ngat Tahu Maori Trust Board and those persons admitted to the membership of the Runanga from time to time.
