(3) Clause 4 (3) of the principal notice is repealed and substituted with the following:
"(3) There shall be a closed season for fishing for quinnat salmon from the 1st day of March to the 30th day of September in the same year (both days inclusive) in the Avon and Heathcote rivers."

Authorised Tackle—(1) Clause 5 (7) of the principal notice is amended by inserting between the words "head" and "shall", the words "(defined as those portions of a vertical line immediately behind the operculum of the gills to the snout)".

Daily Bag Limit—(1) Clause 6 of the principal notice is amended by adding the following clause 6 (5):
"(5) Notwithstanding subclauses (1), (2) and (4) of this clause, no licence holder shall in any one day take and kill or have sports fish in their possession, from:
(a) Lake Marymere (a special catch and release zone); all sports fish caught in this water must be immediately released with as little injury as possible back into the waters from which they were taken."

District Anglers (West Coast Fish and Game Region) Notice 1990, Amendment No. 3
Pursuant to section 26R (3) of the Conservation Act 1987 (as amended by section 17 of the Conservation Law Reform Act 1990), the West Coast Fish and Game Council amends the District Anglers (West Coast Fish & Game Region) Notice 1990, supplement to the New Zealand Gazette, 1990, No. 151, page 3215–3216.
- Title and commencement—(1) This amending notice may be cited as the District Anglers (West Coast Fish and Game Region) Notice 1990, Amendment No. 3, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the District Anglers (West Coast Fish and Game Region) Notice 1990 (hereinafter referred to as the "principal notice").
(2) This amending notice shall come into force on the 1st day of October 1993.
- Open Season—(1) Clause 3 (2) (j) of the principal notice is repealed and substituted with the following:
"(j) Arahura River downstream of the Landsborough Bridge."

District Anglers (Central South Island Fish & Game Region) Notice 1992 Amendment No. 1
Pursuant to section 26R (3) of the Conservation Act 1987 (as amended by section 17 of the Conservation Law Reform Act 1990), the Central South Island Fish and Game Council amends the District Anglers (Central South Island Fish and Game Region) Notice 1992, supplement to the New Zealand Gazette, 1992, No. 136, pages 2915–2918.
N o t i c e
- Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the District Anglers (Central South Island Fish and Game Region) Notice 1992, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the District Anglers (Central South Island Fish and Game Region) Notice 1992 (hereinafter referred to as the "principal notice").
(2) This amending notice shall come into force on the 1st day of October 1993.
- Open Season—(1) Clause 3 (3) of the principal notice is amended by adding the following paragraph:
"(c) From the first day of June to the 31st day of July in the same year in Lake Alexandrina."
- Closed Season—(1) Clause 4 (1) (a) of the principal notice is repealed and substituted with the following:
"(a) From the first day of October to the Friday preceding the first Saturday in December in the same year in all the waters of the Ahuriri River upstream of and including Longslip Creek."
(2) Clause 4 (1) (b) of the principal notice is amended by inserting the word ‘Heron’ between the words “Lakes” and “Clearwater”.
(3) Clause 4 (1) (e) (iii) of the principal notice is repealed.
(4) Clause 4 (1) (e) (iv) of the principal notice is renumbered as 4 (1) (e) (iii).
- Authorised Tackle—(1) Clause 5 (5) (f) of the principal notice is amended by inserting the word ‘Ruatanhi’ between “Benmore” and “Ohau”.
(2) Clause 5 (6) (b) of the principal notice is amended by deleting the word “Clearwater”.
(3) Clause 5 (6) (g) is amended by deleting the words “Lake Benmore” and inserting “Lakes Benmore or Ohau”.
- Daily Bag Limit—(1) Clause 10 (1) of the principal notice is amended by deleting the reference of “12” and substituting “6”.
(2) Clause 10 (2) (c) of the principal notice is deleted and replaced with:
"(c) Two sports fish from any of the following waters for which the daily limit bag is 2 fish:
(i) Lakes—Lake Emily,
(ii) Rivers—Jollie, Huxley, Temple, Maitland, Twizel, Frazer, Upper Ahuriri and tributaries above and including Longslip Creek, Ahuriri East Branch, Omarama Stream, Otamatapaio, Upper Otematata and tributaries above and including Clear Stream, Maerewhenua North and South branches, Kakanui above Clifton Falls Bridge, and the Waihao above the Waihao Forks Bridges;"
(3) Clause 10 (2) (d) of the principal notice is repealed and replaced with the following:
"(d) 4 trout from any other waters within the region."
