(2) This amendment notice shall come into force on the 1st day of October 1993.

  1. Open Season—(1) Clause 3 (1) (d) of the principal notice is amended by adding to the list of specified waters: “Cedar Farm Reservoir”.

  2. Restriction of Lures, Baits and Areas—(1) Clause 6 (4) of the principal notice is amended by adding:

“(f) Cedar Farm Reservoir”.

  1. Daily Limit Bags—(1) Clause 9 (1) (b) of the principal notice is amended by deleting clause 9 (1) (b) and substituting it with:

“(b) Rivers and tributaries flowing into any of the lakes Hawea; Wanaka; and Wakatipu, (but excluding the special catch and release zones), Cedar Farm Reservoir; Nevis River; Ross Creek Reservoir; Rossville Reservoir; Southern Reservoir; Von Lake and Sullivans Dam: No more than one sports fish per day”.

(2) Clause 9 (1) (c) of the principal notice is amended by deleting clause 9 (1) (c) and substituting it with:

“(c) Blakelys Dam; Coalpit Dam; Diamond Lake; Fraser River (Upper); Hoffmans Dam; Lake Johnson; Lake Kilpatrick; Mathias Dam; Pomahaka River upstream from Parkhill Bridge; Reid Lake; Rutherfords Dam; and Tomahawk Lagoons: No more than three sports fish per day”.

(3) Clause 9 (2) of the principal notice is amended by deleting the word “ten” and substituting the word “six”.

  1. Minimum Size to be Taken—(1) Clause 10 (1) (a) of the principal notice is amended by inserting after the words “the Teviot River”, the words “Lake McKellar”.

  2. Experimental Waters—(1) Clause 11 (2) of the principal notice is amended by deleting subparagraph (2).

District Anglers (Southland Fish and Game Region) Notice 1990, Amendment No. 3

Pursuant to section 26R (3) of the Conservation Act 1987 (as amended by section 17 of the Conservation Law Reform Act 1990), the Southland Fish and Game Council amends the District Anglers (Southland Fish and Game Region) Notice 1990, supplement to the New Zealand Gazette, 1990, No. 151, page 3221–3222.

  1. Title and Commencement—(1) This amending notice may be cited as the District Anglers (Southland Fish and Game Region) Notice 1990, Amendment No. 3, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the District Anglers (Southland Fish and Game Region) Notice 1990 (hereinafter referred to as the “principal notice”).

(2) This amendment notice shall come into force on the 1st day of October 1993.

  1. Open Season—(1) Clause 3, subclause 2, paragraph (d) of the principal notice is revoked and replaced with the following:

“(d) The Aparima River downstream of the Thornbury Bridge”.

  1. Daily Bag Limited—(1) Clause 11 (2) of the principal notice is revoked and replaced with the following:

“(2) Subject to clause (5) no licence holder shall in any one day kill or be in possession of more than two trout or salmon from one or more of the following waters:”.

(2) Clause 11 of the principal notice is amended by adding the following subclause:

“(5) Notwithstanding subclauses (1), (2), (3) and (4) of this clause no licence holder shall kill or possess sports fish taken from the following catch and release zones:

(a) Eglington River from the confluence of Waterfall Creek to the confluence of Smithy Creek.

(b) Oreti River from the bridge of the Mount Nicholas Road to the downstream limit of the “Walk only zone” at Map ref NZMS260 D43 294185.

(c) Mataura River from the Bridge at Fairlight downstream to the Bridge at Garston.

Trout or salmon taken within the described experimental catch and release zones shall be immediately released with as little injury as possible back into the water from which it had been taken”.

District Anglers (Hawke’s Bay Fish and Game Region) Notice 1993

Pursuant to section 26R (3) of the Conservation Act 1987 (as amended by section 17 of the Conservation Law Reform Act 1990), the Hawke’s Bay Fish and Game Council hereby gives the following District Anglers Notice.

  1. Title and Commencement—This notice may be cited as the District Anglers (Hawke’s Bay Fish and Game Region) Notice 1993, and shall come into force on the 1st day of October 1993.

  2. Interpretation—Words and expressions in this notice which are defined in the Conservation Act 1987, or the Freshwater Fisheries Regulations 1983, shall have the meaning so defined.

  3. Open Season—(1) There shall be a SUMMER SEASON for fishing for sports fish in all waters from the 1st day of October in any year to the 30th day of April in the following year (both days inclusive).

(2) Subject to clause 3 (4) there shall be a WHOLE YEAR SEASON for fishing for sports fish from the 1st day of October in any year to the 30th day of September in the following year (both days inclusive) in the following waters:

(a) Lake Tutira, except Sandy Creek and the lake outlet channel.

(b) The Tuki Tuki River where it passes through the Tuki Tuki wildlife refuge and between the junction of the Tukipo River and the Mount Herbert road extension.

(c) The Waipawa River within the boundaries of the Waipawa Borough.

(d) Lake Opouahi.

(e) The Ngaruroro River between the Chesterhope Bridge and Fernhill Bridge.

(f) The Mohaka River downstream from the Mangatainoka confluence.

(g) The Waipunga River upstream to the falls.

(h) Lake Te Pohue, north of the two signposts on the south side.

(i) The larger of the two lakes, known as Twin Lakes, at Kuripapango.

(3) There shall be a WINTER SEASON for fishing for sports fish from the 1st day of June to the 30th day of September in the same year (both days inclusive) in the following waters only (excluding tributaries):

(a) The Tuki Tuki River downstream from the State Highway 50 road bridge.

(b) The Ngaruroro River downstream from its confluence with the Taruarau River.
