The Mackenzie Basin Designated Area
The ‘Designated Area’ is all that land encompassed by the following peripheral line:
From Mount Huxley, north-east along Main Divide to Mount Earle, then south along Two Thumb Range to Burke Pass, then in direct line south to Hakataramea Pass, then south along the true right bank of the Hakataramea River to the Waitaki River, then up the true left bank of the Waitaki River system to the mouth of the Temple Stream at the head of Lake Ohau, then up the true left bank of Temple Stream to the junction of the Temple Stream North and South branches, then in a direct line West to Mount Huxley.
The Catlins Designated Area
The ‘Designated Area’ is all that land encompassed by the following peripheral line:
Those properties within an area enclosed by a line running from Kaka Point then following Kaka Point Road, north to the Puerua River Deviation to State Highway 92, then north along State Highway 92 to Grays Road then in a direct line west to Clinton, then west along the Mataura-Clinton Road to the Otago/Southland Regional Government boundary, then south along the Regional Government boundary to the coast.
The Western Southland Designated Area
The ‘Designated Area’ is all that land encompassed by the following peripheral line:
Those properties within an area enclosed by a line running from Beaumont Hill to the Pate then across to the Clifden Blackmount Road at Grassy Creek. Clifden Blackmount Road to Warakei then across to Run Road and Struan Road to SH96. SH96 to Crawfords and up to the Beaumont Hill.
The Taringatura Designated Area
The ‘Designated Area’ is all that land encompassed by the following peripheral line:
Those properties within an area enclosed by a line running from Avondale Road from Affleck Road to Hamilton Burn Road and along to Dipton Stream. Down Dipton Stream, Lang Road and McDonald Road to Breakneck Road. West from Breakneck Road to Monamore Road and along Monamore Road to Avondale Road, then along Avondale Road to Affleck Road.
The Hokonui Designated Area
The ‘Designated Area’ is all that land encompassed by the following peripheral line:
Those properties within an area enclosed by a line running from the intersection of Retreat Croydon Road and Kelvin Reaby Road along the Retreat Croydon Road, Otapiri Manderville Road and Waimea Valley road to the Dipton Balfour Road and along this road to the Intersection with Ben Callum Road.
From this intersection south to Otapiri Gorge from Otapiri Gorge to the Makarewa River and down Makarewa River to Scott Road then along to Jewitt Road and Murchison Road to SH96. SH96 to Miller Road and along Miller Road, Duthie Road, Copland Road and Kelvin Reaby Road to the Retreat Croydon Road.
This notice takes effect from 1st August 1993.

Notice Amending the Notice Controlling the Movement of Dredge or Bluff Oysters (Notice No. 5259)

This notice amends the notice made by me pursuant to section 13A of the Animals Act 1967 and published in the New Zealand Gazette on 29 October 1992, No. 174 at page 3535 (“the principal notice”).

The principal notice is hereby amended by revoking that part of the principal notice described in Schedule One to this notice and substituting the provision described in Schedule Two to this notice.
Schedule One
Part of Principal Notice Revoked:
‘Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this notice, in-shell dredge or Bluff oysters may be moved into the area described as Area 6 in the First Schedule to this notice if and only if the oysters are taken from the area described as Area 14 in the Third Schedule to this notice and provided that the oysters may only be taken:
(i) between the months of December and August inclusive; and
(ii) with the permission of the Regional Manager Central of the MAF Fisheries division of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries who shall be satisfied, on the advice of a Marine Pathologist of the Fisheries Research Directorate division of the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries, that
