The Waipawa Designated Area
The ‘Designated Area’ is all that land encompassed by the following peripheral line:
From the south side of the Otane township follow Stock Road to SH2 and Argyll Road. Follow the Argyll Road to the junction of Argyll Road and College Road. Follow College Road to the north east Boundary of Section 3, Block III Waipukurau Survey district, then north west to Section 5, Block III Waipukurau Survey district and north west along that Boundary to the Mangaotahi Stream and along the farm road leading to Te Onepu Road. Follow Te Onepu Road in a Northerly direction to the junction with the north east boundary of Part Section 4, Block XIV Maraekakano Survey district, then westerly along the northern boundary to Section 1, SO 10098, then north east to its northern boundary. Proceed westerly along the northern boundary to the Mangaonuku Stream and follow it to the junction with Mangamate Stream. Follow the Mangamate Stream in a westerly direction to SH50 then follow SH50 in a southerly direction to the junction with Kereru Road. Follow the Kereru Road to Glenselwyn Road, then Glenselwyn Road until it meets Poporangi Road. Follow Poporangi Road to Allen Road to a point approximately 0.3 km north of Shunt Road, then down the East Boundary of Lot 1, DP 21615 and Section 3, Block XI, Waikarara Survey district in a southerly direction to the Mangamauka Stream. Follow the north side of the stream in a north west direction to Allen Road and then across part of the Wakarara Range to the southern most part of the forestry road known as the Wakarara Road. Proceed in a south west direction to the Makaroro River and follow the Makaroro River south easterly until its confluence with the Waipawa River. Then join the Whakaporo Road and follow it in a south easterly direction until it meets Highway 50. Follow Highway 50 in a south west direction until it meets the Tuki Tuki River then follow the Tuki Tuki River to the junction with the Kahahakuri Stream. Follow a north east line across farmland crossing Lindsay Road and follow the South side of Lindsay Road to a point marked Carlington on Info Map 260 V22, then in an easterly direction to cross SH2 at Trig AL (157 m) to join Taitapu Road at the east boundary, Section 21, Block XI Waipukurau Survey district. Follow Taitapu Road to Trig XXVII A (154 m) and follow a south east line to the Tuki Tuki River. Proceed south east to the confluence with the Waipawa River and then downstream to a point approximately 2.2km from the confluence. Follow a north west line to the Pouterere Road and an unnamed road leading to a quarry, and then follow unnamed road to the old bed of the Waipawa River. Follow the old bed of the Waipawa River to the end of the Homewood Road. Follow Homewood Road to Racecourse Road and proceed east to White Road and follow White Road to the Southern Border of the Otane township.
The Clarence/Waiau Designated Area
The ‘Designated Area’ is all that land encompassed by the following peripheral line:
Those properties within an area enclosed by a line from the Flaxbourne River mouth to State Highway 1, then along a straight line north-west to the Upton Downs Road/Richmond Brook Road junction then in a straight line to Mount William then to Mount Upton, then to Colonel Gully Stream/Medway River junction then up the Medway River to the Deep Stream junction, then along a straight line to Conical Hill, then across Awatere River, follow Awatere River up to Burr Stream junction, then to Mount Hall then in a straight line south-west to the northern end of Lake Tennyson then west to Mount Princess, then down Waiau River to junction with Henry River, then up Henry River to Opera Range then south down Opera Range to Organ Range east of Glynn Wye, then south to the Hurunui River east of Esk Head, then south-east to the Puketeraki Range, then direct line south to 2150/90 then south-east to Lees Valley Road then east to southern boundary of Okuku Hills, then down Okuku River then south-east to Karatui River then south to Grey River, then east to Loburn Road and Kowai Road, then north-east along closed road to junction of Western Branch/South Branch of Kowai River, down South Branch then east to Holdsworth Road and north to Dalbey Road/Brodies Road junction then north-west along Brodies Road to Onepunga Road then north along Onepunga Road across Ram Paddock Road, including Storermont, to the southern boundary of CT436/63, then direct line west to the North Branch of the Waiau River, then up the North Branch to Heathstock Road/Murrays Road junction, then north along Murrays Road to Lake Sumner Road, then west to Powers Road then north to the eastern boundary of The Peaks Village Settlement, then down the Hurunui River to Hurunui River Bridge then north along State Highway 1 Main North Road to Macmillian Road, then east along Macmillan Road to the Waiau River then down the Waiau River to the coast.
But excluding the area enclosed by a line running from the Conway River mouth to State Highway 1, then along State Highway 1 to Oaro and excluding the area enclosed by a line running from the Kowhai River mouth, up the true left bank of the Kowhai River to Kowhai River/Floodgate Creek junction, up Floodgate Creek to Mount Fyffe, then along Seaward Kaikoura Range to McIntosh Nob, then in a direct line east to Miller Stream/Clarence River junction, then down true right bank of Clarence River to Mole Hill, then down Deadman Stream to the coast.
The West Coast Designated Area
The ‘Designated Area’ is all that land encompassed by the following peripheral line:
Those properties within an area enclosed by a line running from Kahurangi Point, then south-east in a direct line to Mount Arthur then in a direct line south-west to Nugget Knob, then in a direct line south to the Owen River/Buller River junction, then following the true right bank of the Buller River down to Lyell Bridge, then south to Mount Wynn then direct line south-east to Creighton Peak then south to Rahu Saddle, then west to Mount Haast then direct line south-west to Mount Puttick, then direct line north-west to Mount Gore then a direct line south-west to Mount Harata, then south-east to Mount Ramses, then in a direct line south to Nancey-Tass Saddle, then east to Mount Hochstetter, then south-east to the headwater of the Ethel Stream, then in a direct line north-east to Mount Novara then in a direct line east to Mount Barron at the Main Divide, then down the Main Divide to Mount Isobel then west along the Browning Range to the Toaroha River/Kokatahi River junction, then down true left bank of Kokatahi River to the junction with the Hokitika River, then down true right bank of the Hokitika River to the coast.
The Coastal and Central Otago Designated Area
The ‘Designated Area’ is all that land encompassed by the following peripheral line:
Those properties within an area enclosed by a line running from Kurow River/Waitaki River junction, up Kurow River to Grayson Peak then a direct line east to Danseys Pass, then direct line south to Kakanui Peak, then direct line south-east to Beaconed Trig B, then to Mount Stalker, then East to Beaconed Trig Y, then South to Razorback Trig, then along Horse Range to State Highway 1/Shag Point junction, then follow State Highway 1 south to Evansdale then South along Jones Road, then along Wright Road to Double Hill Trig, then in a direct line south-west to Swampy Summit No. 2 Trig, then south-east to Millners Road/Walranga Road junction, then along Tirohanga Road to Outram, then direct line west to Woodsida, then direct line south to Berwick, then along Henley-Berwick Road to the Contour Channel, then follow Contour Channel to Lake Waipori, then follow East shore of Lake Waipori to outlet at Waipori River, then down the true left bank of the Waipori River to junction with Taieri River, then down the true left bank of the Taieri River to its mouth, then south along the coast to the mouth of the Matau Branch.
