as a method of teaching through the philosophies of "Te Aho Matua O Nga Kura Kaupapa Maori".
(ii) To ensure that the teachings from Te Kohanga Reo are maintained, reinforced and extended.
(iii) To bring to fruition the aspirations of ancestors in their belief that an equal partnership was entered into through the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi in 1840.
(iv) To ensure that the children of Te Kura Kaupapa Maori O Mangatuna are given their birthright through a kura kaupapa Maori education.
- Constitution of the board of trustees—The board of trustees of Te Kura Kaupapa Maori O Mangatuna shall comprise:
(i) 5 elected parent representatives;
(ii) the principal;
(iii) a staff representative;
(iv) not more than 4 persons co-opted by the board.

Te Kura Kaupapa Maori O Te Ara Rima
Pursuant to sections 146 and 155 of the Education Act 1989, the Minister of Education hereby gives the following notice:

This notice may be cited as Te Kura Kaupapa Maori O Te Ara Rima.

This notice shall come into force on the 1st day of February 1993.

I hereby designate Te Ara School as a kura kaupapa Maori.

Aims, purposes and objectives of Te Kura Kaupapa Maori O Te Ara Rima:
(i) To uphold, promote and foster the principles of Te Aho Matua;
(ii) To promote excellence of achievement;
(iii) To promote an education that is responsive to the aspirations of the community.
- Constitution of the board of trustees—The board of trustees of Te Kura Kaupapa Maori O Te Ara Rima shall comprise:
(i) 5 elected parent representatives;
(ii) the principal;
(iii) a staff representative;
(iv) not more than 4 persons co-opted by the board.

Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1990
Cancellation of Licence for an Early Childhood Centre
Pursuant to regulation 14 of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1990, and acting under authority delegated by the Secretary of Education, I hereby cancel the licence dated 11 November 1991 which was granted under those regulations to Yvonne Eileen Calvin in respect of Aunties Day Care Centre, 11–13 Thomas Crescent, Rotorua.
This notice shall take effect the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975
Supplementary Integration Agreement
Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that a supplementary integration agreement has been signed between the Ministry of Education on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen acting through the Senior Manager, National Operations, Ministry of Education, pursuant to delegated authority, and the proprietor of the following school:
St Francis’ Primary School, Montrose Street, Point Chevalier.
The said supplementary integration agreement was executed on the 19th day of October 1992. A copy of the supplementary agreement is available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the district office of the Ministry of Education, 6–10 Nugent Street, Private Bag 92614, Auckland.

Wellington Central By-Election—Notifying Issue of Writ, Date of Polling, etc.
Pursuant to a warrant under the hand of the Speaker of the House of Representatives dated the 30th day of October 1992 directed to Clerk of the Writs, I have this day issued a writ to the Returning Officer for the Electoral District of Wellington Central authorising the Returning Officer to proceed to the election of a Member of Parliament for that electoral district and have fixed Thursday, the 19th day of November 1992 as the last day for the nomination of candidates, Saturday, the 12th day of December 1992, as the day upon which the poll for such election shall (if necessary) be taken, and Thursday, the 31st day of December 1992, as the day on or before which the said writ shall be returnable to me.
