to abide by the classification codes and to be mindful of the effect of a programme on children. The Authority ordered Television New Zealand Limited to broadcast a brief summary of the decision on a Holmes programme before 3 August 1992.
(x) In Decision 52/92, the Authority upheld a complaint from Mr Craig Greivey of Auckland that the broadcast by Independent Broadcasting Company (1990) Limited of an item of Auckland’s 91FM breached the responsibility placed on broadcasters to maintain standards of good taste and decency.
(xi) In Decision 53/92, the Authority declined to uphold a complaint from the Group Opposed to Advertising of Liquor that the broadcast by TV3 Network Services Limited of a DB Export Dry beer advertisement on 1 February 1992 breached the responsibility placed on broadcasters that liquor advertisements shall not suggest that the consumption of liquor is associated with a significant change of mood.
(xii) In Decision 54/92, the Authority declined to uphold a complaint from Mr Harry Rickit of Auckland that the broadcast by Independent Broadcasting Company (1990) Limited of an item on Auckland’s 91FM breached the responsibility placed on broadcasters not to encourage the denigration of, or discrimination against, a section of the community on account of race.
(xiii) In Decision 55/92, the Authority upheld a complaint from Mr John Carter M.P. that Television New Zealand Limited breached the responsibility placed on broadcasters to broadcast a correction at the earliest opportunity and that the action taken by the broadcaster, having upheld the complaint, was insufficient.
(xiv) In Decision 56/92, the Authority declined to uphold a complaint from Mr Kerry Sharp of Palmerston North that the broadcast by TV3 Network Services Limited of an item on 60 Minutes on 8 March 1992 breached the responsibility placed on broadcasters that when controversial issues of public importance are discussed, reasonable efforts are made or reasonable opportunities are given to present significant points of view.

Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977
Ashley Rural Fire District Notice 1992
Pursuant to the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977, the National Rural Fire Authority hereby makes the following notice:
N o t i c e
- (1) This notice may be cited as the Ashley Rural Fire District Notice 1992.
(2) This notice shall come into force on the 28th day after its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.
- In this notice, unless the context otherwise requires, the
“Act” means the Forest and Rural Fire Act 1977; the
“committee” means the Ashley Rural Fire Committee; the
“district” means the Ashley Rural Fire District.
Constitution of the Ashley Rural Fire District

The areas specified in the Schedule to this notice are hereby constituted and declared to be a rural fire district to be known as the Ashley Rural Fire District.

The Ashley Rural Fire District shall be administered for the purpose of the Act by a rural fire committee known as the Ashley Rural Fire Committee.

The committee shall consist of eight members as follows:
(1) Three persons appointed by the Carter Holt Harvey Forests Limited, in writing, signed on behalf of that company by one director and the secretary thereof; and
(2) One person appointed, in writing, by The Waimakariri District Council; and
(3) One person appointed, in writing, by The Hurunui District Council; and
(4) One person appointed, in writing, by the Director-General of the Department of Conservation; and
(5) One person appointed by McVicars Timber Group Limited, in writing, signed on behalf of that company by one director and the secretary thereof; and
(6) One person appointed, in writing, by the Federated Farmers of New Zealand (North Canterbury Province District) Incorporated.
- The period between the 1st day of October in any one year and the 30th day of September in the following year (both days inclusive) is hereby declared to be a restricted fire season in the district.

Canterbury Land District—Waimakariri and Hurunui Districts
Ashley Rural Fire District
All those parcels containing 91 044 hectares, more or less, as shown on S.O. plans 18823, 18824, 18825, 18826, 18827 and 18828, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Christchurch, and as the same are shown on the plans numbered NRFA 107, deposited in the National Headquarters of the New Zealand Fire Service at Wellington.
