Local Government Act 1974

Canterbury Region—Notification of a Regional Petrol Tax

Pursuant to section 200D of the Local Government Act 1974, as enacted by the Local Government Amendment Act (No. 2) 1992, the Canterbury Regional Council notifies that the council has from midnight, 3 July 1992, levied a regional petrol tax for the purposes of funding passenger services.

The rate of tax is 0.62 cents, plus GST, per litre of petrol sold. The area of the Canterbury region to which the tax applies is the area of the Christchurch City Council and the area of the Lyttelton/Mount Herbert Ward of the Banks Peninsula District Council.

Fire Service Act 1975

Wanganui Fire Districts Notice 1992.

Pursuant to section 26 of the Fire Service Act 1975, the New Zealand Fire Service Commission hereby gives the following notice.

Notice

1. This notice may be cited as the Wanganui Fire Districts Notice 1992.

2. This notice shall come into force on the 4th day of August 1992.

3. This notice revokes and is in substitution for all previous Fire District Notices for each of the Fire Districts listed in this Schedule.

4. The urban areas of the following city and towns are hereby constituted into Fire Districts:

Conservation Act 1987

Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes

Pursuant to section 7 (1) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation and the Minister of Lands, being the Minister responsible for the Department of State that has control of the land, hereby jointly declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is held for conservation purposes and it shall thereafter be so held.

Declaring Land to be Held for Conservation Purposes Together With Declaration That the Same Land Become a Recreation Reserve

Pursuant to section 7 (1) of the Conservation Act 1987, the Minister of Conservation and the Minister of Lands, being the Minister deemed responsible for the Department of State that has control of the land described in the Schedule hereto, jointly declare that the land is held for conservation purposes and pursuant to section 8 (1A) of the Act, the Minister of Conservation further declares that the conservation area shall hereafter be held as a reserve for recreation purposes, subject to section 17 of the Reserves Act 1977.
