The Traffic (Waipa District) Notice No. 2, 1992

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, a delegation from the Minister of Transport, and a subdelegation from the Secretary for Transport, I, Carne Maurice Clissold, Controller, Road and Traffic Standards, give the following notice:

Notice

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waipa District) Notice No. 2, 1992.

The area specified in the First Schedule is declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The road specified in the Second Schedule is declared to be a 70 kilometre an hour speed limit area pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

The roads specified in the Third Schedule are excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The Traffic (Cambridge Borough and Waikato County) Notice No. 1, 1988, signed on the 15th day of April 1988*, and the Traffic (Cambridge Borough) Notice No. 1, 1984, signed on the 27th day of March 1984†, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976 are revoked.

The notice “Closely Populated Locality Declared” 1967, dated on the 13th day of March 1967‡, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, is revoked.

First Schedule

Situated within Waipa District at Cambridge:

All those roads (with the exception of those mentioned in the Third Schedule) bounded by a line commencing at a point on the western side of Vogel Street at its intersection with the southern side of Taylor Street; thence southerly, generally, along the western side of Vogel Street to its intersection with the southern side of Donald Street; thence south-easterly, generally, by a right line to a point on the southern side of Lamb Street at its intersection with the western side of Milton Street; thence southerly, generally, and easterly, generally, along the western and southern sides of Milton Street to the eastern end of Milton Street; thence north-easterly, generally, by a right line to a point on the southern side of Lamb Street at its intersection with the western side of Carlyle Street; thence easterly, generally, along the southern side of Maungatautari Road; thence due north by a right line to the northern bank of the Waikato River; thence north-westerly, generally, along the northern bank of the Waikato River to a point due south of the eastern end of Gillies Street; thence due north by a right line to the eastern end of Gillies Street; thence north-easterly, generally, by a right line to a point on the southern side of Thornton Road 200 metres measured easterly, generally, along Thornton Road from Maclean Street; thence due north by a right line to a point due east of the intersection of the northern side of Taylor Street with the eastern side of Maclean Street; thence north-westerly, generally, by a right line to a point on the eastern side of Watkins Road 200 metres measured northerly, generally, along Watkins Road from Taylor Street; thence across Watkins Road at right angles from its eastern side to its western side; thence north-westerly, generally, by a right line to a point on the eastern side of Swayne Road 300 metres measured northerly, generally, along Swayne Road from Taylor Street; thence across Swayne Road at right angles from its eastern side to its western side; thence south-westerly, generally, by a right line to a point on the eastern side of Laurent Road 200 metres measured northerly, generally, along Laurent Road from Taylor Street; thence westerly, generally, by a right line to a point on the western side of Hannon Road 300 metres measured north-westerly, generally, along Hannon Road from Taylor Street; thence south-easterly, generally, along the south-western side of Hannon Road to the commencing point.

Second Schedule

Situated within Waipa District at Cambridge:

No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff): from Vogel Street to a point 500 metres measured westerly, generally, along the said State highway from Vogel Street.

Third Schedule

Situated within Waipa District at Cambridge:

No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff): from a point 20 metres measured westerly, generally, along the said State highway from Dominion Avenue to the eastern boundary of the closely populated locality.

Browning Street: from Carlyle Street to Maungatautari Road.

Carlyle Street: from Browning Street to Lamb Street.

Lamb Street: from Burns Street to Milton Street and from Carlyle Street to Maungatautari Road.

Shakespeare Road: from Addison Street to the No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff).

Te Awamutu-Cambridge Road: from Bracken Street to the western boundary of the closely populated locality.
