Acting District Court Judges Appointed

Pursuant to section 10A of the District Courts Act 1947, Her Excellency, the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint

Eric Bernard Anderson, retired District Court Judge,

and

David Bracken Wilson, retired District Court Judge

to be Acting District Court Judges to exercise civil and criminal jurisdiction at such place or places and for such period or periods only as the Chief District Court Judge may fix, pursuant to the said section 10A for a term of 12 months on and from the 16th day of June 1992.

Transport Act 1962

The Traffic (Rotorua District) Notice No. 1, 1992

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, a delegation from the Minister of Transport, and a subdelegation from the Secretary for Transport, I, Carne Maurice Clissold, Controller, Road and Traffic Standards, give the following notice:

Notice

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Rotorua District) Notice No. 1, 1992.

The roads specified in the First Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The roads specified in the Second Schedule are declared to be 70 kilometre an hour speed limit areas pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

The Traffic (Rotorua District) Notice No. 1, 1986, signed on the 2nd day of May 1986*, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976 is revoked.

So much of the Traffic (Rotorua District) Notice No. 2, 1987, signed on the 30th day of April, 1987†, which relates to roads in the Schedules below, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, is revoked.\n

First Schedule

Situated within the Rural Division of Rotorua District at Mourea:

Ngareta Road.

Tikitere Back Road.

Tarawera Road.

Thorpe Road.

Otanake Road.

Part of State Highway 30 (Te Ngae Road): from a point 200 metres measured northerly from the intersection with the eastern side of Old Taupo Road, generally northerly along the said State Highway to a point 350 metres measured northerly from the intersection with the northern side of Wharenui Road.

Second Schedule

Situated within the Rural Division of Rotorua District at Mourea:

No. 33 State Highway (Te Ngae-Paengaroa): from a point 100 metres measured northerly, generally, along the said State highway from the northern abutment of the bridge over the Ohau Channel to Okawa Bay Road.

Okawa Bay Road.

Situated within the Rural Division of Rotorua District at Rotoiti:

No. 30 State Highway (Te Nukuhou-Whakatane via Atiamuri): from a point 970 metres measured north-easterly, generally, along the said State highway from the Waikiti Stream to a point 1130 metres measured south-westerly, generally, along the said State highway from the Waikiti Stream; and from a point 280 metres measured easterly, generally, along the said State highway from Wharetoroa Drive to a point 720 metres measured westerly, generally, along the said State highway from Wharetoroa Drive.

Situated within the Rural Division of Rotorua District at Rotoma:

No. 30 State Highway (Te Nukuhou-Whakatane via Atiamuri): from a point 80 metres measured north-westerly, generally, along the said State highway from Oxford Road to a point 1450 metres measured south-easterly, generally, along the said State highway from Oxford Road; and from a point 3000 metres measured north-westerly, generally, along the said State highway from Matahui Road to a point 500 metres measured westerly, generally, along the said State highway from Matahui Road.

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, a delegation from the Minister of Transport, and a subdelegation from the Secretary for Transport, I, Carne Maurice Clissold, Controller, Road and Traffic Standards, give the following notice:

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Far North District) Notice No. 3, 1992.

The area specified in the First Schedule is declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The road specified in the Second Schedule is declared to be a 70 kilometre an hour speed limit area pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

The Traffic (Mongonui County) Notice No. 2, 1985, signed on the 19th day of March 1985*, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976 is revoked.

Situated within Far North District at Ahipara:

All that area bounded by a line commencing on the southern side of Foreshor Road at the Pukerua Creek; thence across the said road at right angles from its southern side to its northern side; thence due north 3000 metres; thence due east...
