Vesting of Reserves in the Southland District Council

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, Southland Conservancy, Department of Conservation hereby vests the reserves described in the Schedules hereto, in The Southland District Council in trust for the purpose specified in the said Schedules.

First Schedule

Southland Land District—Southland District

Haldane Recreation Reserve
1.0994 hectares, more or less, being Section 16, Block VII, Otara Survey District. S.O. 8274.
0.0971 hectares, more or less, being Section 17, Block VII, Otara Survey District. S.O. 8274.

Second Schedule

Papatotara Local Purpose (Site for a Community Centre) Reserve
2.0234 hectares, more or less, being Section 14, Block 1, Alton Survey District. S.O. 3446.

Change of Purpose of a Reserve and Vesting of a Reserve in the South Taranaki District Council

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator for the Department of Conservation, Wanganui, hereby changes the purpose of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto, from a Government purpose (pilot station) reserve to a local purpose (light house) reserve and vests the said reserve in The South Taranaki District Council in trust for that purpose.

1231 square metres, more or less, being part Section 130, Whenuakura District, situated in Block VII, Carlyle Survey District (S.O. 10046).

Revocation of a Reservation over a Reserve Specifying the Manner of Disposal and How Proceeds of Sale Shall be Utilised

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator of the Wellington Conservancy of the Department of Conservation, hereby revokes the reservation as a road reserve over the land, described in the Schedule hereto, and further, declares that the said land may be disposed of by The Kapiti Coast District Council at current market value, the proceeds from any such sale to be paid into the Council’s Reserves Purchase and Development Account, such moneys to be used and applied in or towards the improvement of other reserves under the control of the council, or in or towards the purchase of other land for reserves.

349 square metres, more or less, being Lot 21 on Deposited Plan 35063, situated in Block IX, Kaitawa Survey District. Part CT 9C/435.

Forests and Rural Fires Act 1977

Golden Downs Rural Fire District Notice 1992

Pursuant to the Forests and Rural Fires Act 1977, The National Rural Fire Authority hereby makes the following notice.

Notice

1. (1) This notice may be cited as the Golden Downs Rural Fire District Notice 1992.
   (2) This notice shall come into force 28 days after its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

2. In this notice, unless the context otherwise requires, the

   • “Act” means the Forest and Rural Fires Act 1977;
   • “Committee” means the Golden Downs Rural Fire Committee;
   • “District” means the Golden Downs Rural Fire District.

3. This notice revokes and is in substitution for the Golden Downs Rural Fire District Notice 1948 (a) and all amendments thereto.

Constitution of the Golden Downs Rural Fire District

4. The area specified in the Schedule to this notice are hereby constituted and declared to be a rural fire district to be known as the Golden Downs Rural Fire District.

5. The Golden Downs Rural Fire District shall be administered for the purpose of the Act by a rural fire committee known as the Golden Downs Rural Fire Committee.

6. The Committee shall consist of seven members as follows:
   (1) Three persons appointed by the Tasman Forestry Limited, in writing, signed on behalf of that company by one director and the secretary thereof; and
   (2) One person appointed, in writing, by the Baigent Forest Industries Limited, signed on behalf of that company by one director and the secretary thereof; and
   (3) One person appointed, in writing, by the Tasman District Council; and
   (4) One person appointed, in writing, by the Director-General of the Department of Conservation; and
   (5) One person (resident in the District) to represent the interests of other residents and ratepayers and to be appointed, in writing, by the Tasman District Council for a 3 year period.

7. The trees and other plants on the land, described in the Schedule to this notice, are hereby specified as the property for the protection for which the district is constituted.

8. The period between the 1st day of October in any year and the 30th day of September in the following year (both days inclusive) is hereby declared to be a restricted fire season in the district.
