New Zealand Permanent Trustees Limited Bill
Notice of Intention to Apply for Leave to Introduce a Private Bill in the House of Representatives
Take notice that East Coast Permanent Trustees Limited intends to promote a Private Bill, the objects of which are:
(a) To provide for East Coast Permanent Trustees Limited to continue in existence under the name New Zealand Permanent Trustees Limited; and
(b) To authorise the company to transact business with The National Mutual Life Association of Australasia Limited and with other subsidiaries and related companies of that company; and
(c) To repeal the East Coast Permanent Trustees Limited Act 1962.
(The effect of repealing the East Coast Permanent Trustees Limited Act 1962 will be to remove provisions which are considered to be no longer appropriate or necessary to the business of the company).
The promoter of the Bill is East Coast Permanent Trustees Limited. Communications or notices to the promoter may be sent to its solicitors:

Fisheries (Foveaux Strait Dredge Oyster Fishery Suspension) Notice No. 2 1991, No. 5072
Pursuant to section 47 of the Fisheries Act 1983, the Minister of Fisheries (acting on the recommendation of the Director-General of Agriculture and Fisheries, and after informing the Fisheries Authority) hereby gives the following notice:
N o t i c e
- Title and commencement—(1) This notice may be cited as the Fisheries (Foveaux Strait Dredge Oyster Fishery Suspension) Notice No. 2 1991.
(2) This notice shall come into effect on the day after its notification in the Gazette.
- Interpretation—In this notice:
(a) the term “Foveaux Strait dredge oyster fishery” means the oyster fishery in Foveaux Strait as defined and declared to be a controlled fishery in the Controlled Fisheries (Foveaux Strait Dredge Oyster Fishery) Notice 1979.
(b) any reference to licences means licences granted by the Fisheries Authority pursuant to section 33 of the Fisheries Act 1983 in respect of the Foveaux Strait dredge oyster fishery.
- Restrictions on licences—(1) All licences are hereby subject to the restriction set out in subclause (2) of this clause.
(2) All fishing pursuant to any licence shall be suspended in those waters of Foveaux Strait lying inside a line commencing at Oraka Pt (at 46° 23.6′S and 167° 57.6′E); then in a straight line to the easternmost point of Centre Island (at 46° 27.7′S and 167° 51.7′E); then by mean high water mark to a point at 46° 27.8′S and 167° 50.6′E; then by a straight line to the northernmost point of Codfish Island (at 46° 45.2′S and 167° 36.6′E); then by a straight line to North Red Head on the north-west coast of Stewart Island (at 46° 44.8′S and 167° 42.5′E); then by mean high water mark to Black Rock Point (at 46° 41.2′S and 167° 52.2′E); and then in a straight line in a north-easterly direction to a point at 46° 36.2′S and 168° 02.7′E; then in a straight line in a south-easterly direction to a point at 46° 40.6′S and 168° 15.0′E; then in a straight line in a north-easterly direction to a point on Bluff Hill at 46° 37.5′S and 168° 20.6′E.
- Purpose—The closure of additional western and central beds in the Foveaux Strait dredge oyster fishery is necessary to minimise the possibility of the oyster infection, Bonamia, being spread by oyster dredges from highly infected areas of the fishery to areas of the fishery that are not infected or which are least infected.
