Transit New Zealand Act 1989

Revoking State Highway and Declaring Road to be State Highway

Pursuant to section 60 of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, the Transit New Zealand Authority, gives notice that the State highway described in the First Schedule hereto is revoked, and that the road described in the Second Schedule hereto is declared to be a State highway within the meaning and for the purposes of the Transit New Zealand Act.

First Schedule

All those sections of No. 1 State Highway being East Street between Racecourse Road at RP 416/12.09 and Dobson Street at RP 430/0.62 in Ashburton.

Second Schedule

No. 1 State Highway

All those sections of road being West Street and the realigned sections at each end between Racecourse Road at RP 416/12.09 and Dobson Street at RP 430/0.62 in Ashburton.

Declaring State Highway to be a Limited Access Road, State Highway No. 1

It is noted that Transit New Zealand, by resolution dated 19 February 1991 and pursuant to section 88 (1) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, hereby declares that part of State Highway No. 1 North Aldworth Road to Tehouhou Road for a width of 16 metres on the eastern side across the whole frontage of Lots 1, 2 and 3, D.P. 53084 (being on certificates of title 22B/423, 424 and 425) as more particularly shown on Sheets 1 of Plan LA 43/12/4/5 and accompanying Schedule held in the office of the Regional Manager, Transit New Zealand, Wanganui and there available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.

Sale of Wanganui Harbour Land

I, William Robson Storey, Minister of Transport, having obtained the concurrence of the Minister of Finance, pursuant to section 143A (3) of the Harbours Act 1950, hereby approve pursuant to section 143A (1) (a) and section 143c (1) (b) (i) of the Act, the sale of land referred to in the Schedule below by the Wanganui District Council and I specify that my approval is effective from the date of this notice.

Schedule

All that parcel of land containing 6850 square metres, more or less, situate in the City of Wanganui, being Lots 5, 6 and 7 on Deposited Plan 59790 and being all of the land comprised and described in certificate of title, Volume 30A, folio 87 and Volume 30A, folio 89 (Wellington Registry).
