Harbours Act 1950

Authorising the Thames-Coromandel District Council to Reclaim Land in Tairua Harbour

At Wellington this 11th day of March 1991

Present:
Her Excellency the Governor-General in Council

Pursuant to section 175 (3) of the Harbours Act 1950, Her Excellency the Governor-General, acting on the recommendation of the Minister of Conservation, and with the approval of the Minister of Transport and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby authorises the Thames-Coromandel District Council to reclaim an area of 840 square metres of land in Tairua Harbour near Bay View Terrace, Tairua, more particularly described in the Schedule below.

This authorisation is subject to the following condition:

This reclamation authorisation shall lapse 2 years after the date of the Order in Council unless:

a. effect has been given to this consent; or
b. the Minister of Conservation has, on an application made within 3 months of the expiry date, by the Thames-Coromandel District Council, determined that substantial progress has been made in the construction of the reclamation and that progress is continuing, and has agreed to a further extension.

Schedule

All that parcel of land containing 840 square metres, more or less, situated in the South Auckland Land District and more particularly shown marked (A) on Plan DOC(CM)HA 31/90/3, (S.O. 58124), sheet (1) of (1), deposited in the Waikato Conservancy Office of the Department of Conservation at Hamilton.

The Lakes District Foreshore, Lakeshore, Lakebed, Riverbed, and Waters Control Order 1983, Amendment No. 1

Her Excellency the Governor-General in Council

Pursuant to section 8A and section 165 of the Harbours Act 1955, Her Excellency the Governor-General, on the recommendation of the Minister of Conservation, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby amends The Lakes District Foreshore, Lakeshore, Lakebed, Riverbed, and Waters Control Order 1983* by revoking the Schedule to the Order and inserting the Schedule below.

Schedule

All those areas of lakeshore, lakebed, riverbed and waters within the boundaries of The Queenstown-Lakes District Council, excluding those areas within a national park, such areas being more particularly shown coloured red on Plan DOC(CM)DU 205, deposited in the Otago Conservancy office of the Department of Conservation at Dunedin.

Land Act 1948

Reservation of Land

Pursuant to section 167 of the Land Act 1948, the Minister of Conservation with the consent of the Minister of Lands, hereby sets apart the land, described in the Schedule hereto, as a recreation reserve, subject to the provisions of section 17 of the Reserves Act 1977.

Schedule

Westland Land District—Grey District

1007 square metres, more or less, being part Section 6, Block II, Town of Hatters Terrace, S.O. Plan 2490.

202 square metres, more or less, being Section 5, Block III, Town of Hatters Terrace, S.O. Plan 886.

Revocation of the Reservation Over Part of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves Act 1977, and to a delegation from the Minister of Conservation, the Regional Conservator, Otago, hereby revokes the reservation over that part of the Kowhai Bush (Routeburn) Scenic Reserve, described in the Schedule hereto.
