This notice may be cited as the Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Arowhenua.

This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its publication in the Gazette.

I hereby establish at Regent Street, Invercargill, a primary school called Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Arowhenua and I hereby designate the school as a Kura Kaupapa Maori.

Aims and objectives of Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Arowhenua:
(i) To provide an education that is an extension of Te Kohanga Reo beginnings.
(ii) To produce well-balanced, confident, highly motivated bilingual and bicultural pupils.
(iii) To strive for excellence in all areas, to value success, and to build on the self esteem of pupils.
(iv) To acknowledge Maori structures and processes in education.
(v) To promote an education that values all aspects of Maoritanga.

Constitution of the Board of Trustees. The Board of Trustees of Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Arowhenua shall comprise:
(a) 5 people appointed by the Minister; and
(b) The principal or principal designate; and
(c) Not more than 4 persons co-opted by the Board.

Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1990
Cancellation of Licence for an Early Childhood Centre
Pursuant to regulation 14 of the Education (Early Childhood Centres) Regulations 1990, I hereby cancel the licence dated 5 February 1991 which was granted under those regulations to Helen Morten in respect of Te Whare Marie Tamariki Childcare Centre, 8 Mercer Street, Wellington.
Te Whare Marie Tamariki (also to be known as the Civic Creche) is re-established as an licensed childcare centre at premises sited at 92 Jervois Quay, Wellington.
This notice shall take effect the day after the date of its notification in the Gazette.

Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975
Saint Bede’s College, Christchurch (Attendance Dues) Notice 1991
Pursuant to section 36 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, the Minister of Education, hereby gives notice approving the charging of attendance dues at Saint Bede’s College, Christchurch.

This notice shall be cited as the Saint Bede’s College, Christchurch (Attendance Dues) Notice 1991.

The proprietor of the above-named school may enter into an agreement with the parents or other persons accepting responsibility for the education of a child at the above-named school requiring them to pay attendance dues.

The attendance dues payable in respect of any pupil shall be $345 (excluding G.S.T.) per annum.

Attendance dues received by the proprietor shall be used for the purpose of paying for such improvements to, or for such capital works associated with, the buildings and associated facilities of the above-mentioned integrated school as may be required or approved by the Minister of Education, pursuant to section 40 (2) of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, or for meeting debts, mortgages, liens, or other charges associated with any of the land and buildings that constitute the integrated school.

Closure of Saint Edmund’s School, Dunedin
Pursuant to section 12 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, I hereby notify that Saint Edmund’s School, Dunedin closed on the 30th day of January 1989, and ceased to be established on that day.
This amends the notice published in the New Zealand Gazette on 7 November 1991, No. 168, page 3509.

Supplementary Integration Agreement Notice
Pursuant to section 10 of the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975, notice is given that a supplementary integration agreement has been signed between the Minister of Education on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen, acting through the Senior Manager, National Operations, Ministry of Education, Wellington, pursuant to delegated authority, and the Sisters of Mercy (Diocese of Christchurch) Trust Board, as proprietor of the following school:
Villa Maria College, Christchurch.
The said supplementary integration agreement was executed on the 5th day of November 1991. Copies of the supplementary integration agreement are available for inspection without charge by any member of the public at the district office of the Ministry of Education, 123 Victoria Street, Christchurch.
