Notice of Intention to Take Land

In the matter of the Public Works Act 1981:

Notice is hereby given that the Department of Survey and Land Information, under delegated authority from the Minister of Lands, proposes under the provisions of the above Act to execute a public work namely road, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for road.

And notice is hereby further given that the land so required to be taken is shown on a plan lodged at the offices of the Chief Surveyor, Department of Survey and Land Information, Wellington and there numbered Survey Office Plan No. 36491. All persons who are affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land and who have any objection to the execution of the said public work or the taking of the said land should state their objections in writing and send the same within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the Registrar of Planning, Tribunals Division, Private Bag, Postal Centre, Wellington. If any objection is received, a public hearing of such objection will, unless the objector otherwise requires, be held and each objector will be advised of the time, date and place thereof.

All that parcel of land situated in Masterton District in deeds index 23/612 in the name of Minnie Hodgson, wife of Abraham Hodgson of Blenheim, retired farmer, described as follows:

Land at Dempseys Bend Acquired for Road

Pursuant to section 20 (1) of the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the District Solicitor, Department of Survey and Land Information, Christchurch, declares that, agreements to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby acquired for road which, pursuant to section 60 (2) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989 forms part of State Highway No. 1 and shall vest in the Crown on the date of publication of this declaration in the Gazette.

All that piece of land containing 473 square metres, being part Lot 1, D.P. 26725; as shown marked “E” on S.O. Plan 18542, lodged in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Christchurch.

Land Acquired for Road, Land Declared to be Road and Land Taken in the District of Tasman

Pursuant to the Public Works Act 1981, and to a delegation from the Minister of Lands, the Manager, Lands and Property, Department of Survey and Land Information, Nelson:

(a) Pursuant to section 20 (1), declares that, an agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the First Schedule hereto is hereby acquired for road and, pursuant to section 60 (2) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, shall form part of State Highway No. 6 and shall vest in the Crown on the date of publication hereof in the Gazette.

(b) Pursuant to section 114, declares the land described in the Second Schedule hereto to be road and, pursuant to section 60 (2) of the Transit New Zealand Act 1989, shall form part of State Highway No. 6 and shall vest in the Crown on the date of publication hereof in the Gazette.

(c) Declares the land described in the Third Schedule hereto to be taken under section 119 (1) and to be amalgamated with the land in certificate of title, Volume 49, folio 156.
