Notice

This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Western Bay of Plenty District) Notice No. 1, 1991.

The area and roads specified in the First Schedule are declared to be closely populated localities for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

The roads specified in the Second Schedule are declared to be 70 kilometres an hour speed limit areas pursuant to regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976.

The Traffic (Tauranga County) Notice No. 2, 1986, signed on the 10th day of December 1986*, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 21 (2) of the Traffic Regulations 1976, are revoked.

The Traffic (Tauranga County and Ohinemuri County) Notice No. 5, 1975, dated on the 13th day of October 1975†, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962 and regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1976, are revoked.

The Traffic (Tauranga County) Notice No. 3, 1969, dated on the 7th day of July 1969‡, issued pursuant to section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, is revoked.

First Schedule

Situated within Western Bay of Plenty District at Athenree:

Adela Stewart Drive.

Adela Stewart Drive West.

Athenree Road: from a point 130 metres measured south-westerly, generally, along the said road from Pohutakawa Drive to Pohutakawa Drive.

Denby Close.

Marina Way.

Nathan Place.

Pohutakawa Drive.

Roretana Drive.

Wainoe Avenue.

Situated within Western Bay of Plenty District at Bowentown:

All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the north-western side of Pio Road at its intersection with the south-western side of Seaford Road; thence south-westerly, generally, along Pio Road to the shore of the Tauranga Harbour; thence southerly and easterly, generally, along the shore of the said Harbour to the shore of the Bay of Plenty; thence north-westerly, generally, along the said shoreline to a point due north of the north eastern terminating end of Pio Road; thence due south by a right line to the north-eastern terminating end of Pio Road; thence south-westerly, generally, along the north-western side of Pio Road to the commencing point.

Situated within Western Bay of Plenty District at Omokoroa:

All that area with the exception of Kayelene Place (from Omokoroa Road to Links View Drive), Omokoroa Road (south-west of a point 80 metres measured south-westerly, generally, along the said road from Beach Grove) and Western Avenue; bounded by a line commencing at a point on the shore of the Tauranga Harbour due north of the north-western terminating end of Prole Road; thence north-easterly and south-westerly, generally, along the shore of the said Harbour to a point due east of the eastern terminating end of Goldstone Road; thence due west by a rightline to the eastern terminating end of Goldstone Road; thence westerly, generally, along the southern side of Goldstone Road to the eastern side of Omokoroa Road; thence north-westerly, generally, by a right line to the commencing point.

Situated within Western Bay of Plenty District at Tanners Point:

Baigent Place.

Giles Way.

Moana Drive.

Tanners Point Road: from its north-eastern terminating end to a point 200 metres measured south-westerly, generally, along the said road from Baigent Place.

Situated within Western Bay of Plenty District at Waihi Beach and Island View:

All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the southern side of Wilson Road 50 metres measured north-westerly, generally, along the said road from The Crescent; thence south-westerly, generally, by right line to the western terminating end of Farm Road; thence south-easterly, generally by a right line to the northern side of Emerton Road at its intersection with the western side of Hanlen Avenue; thence north-easterly, generally, along Emerton Road to the western side of Seafront Road; thence south-easterly, generally, by a right line to the western terminating end of Waiti Avenue; thence easterly, generally, along the southern side of Waiti Avenue to the western side of Seafront Road; thence south-easterly, generally, along Seafront Road to a point 860 metres measured south-easterly, generally, along the said road from Emerton Road; thence due east by a right line to the shore of the Bay of Plenty; thence north-westerly, generally, along the said shoreline to a point due east of the northern terminating end of The Terrace; thence due west by a right line to the said end of The Terrace; thence south-westerly, generally, by a right line to the north-western terminating end of Oceanview Road; thence south by a right line for a distance of 900 metres; thence south-easterly, generally, by a right line to the south-eastern side of Beach Road at its intersection with the northern side of Wilson Road; thence south-easterly, generally, along the northern side of Wilson Road to a point 50 metres measured north-westerly, generally, along the said road from The Crescent; thence across Wilson Road at right angles from its northern side to the commencing point.

Second Schedule

Situated within Western Bay of Plenty District at Athenree:

Athenree Road: from a point 130 metres measured south-westerly, generally, along the said road from Pohutakawa Drive to a point 100 metres measured south-westerly, generally, along the said road from Koutunui Road.

Koutunui Road.

Situated within Western Bay of Plenty District at Omokoroa:

Kayelene Place: from Omokoroa Road to Links View Drive.

Omokoroa Road: from a point 80 metres measured south-westerly, generally, along the said road from Beach Grove to a point 250 metres measured south-westerly, generally, along the said road from Goldstone Road.

Western Avenue.
