By virtue of section 439 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953, the Maori freehold land described in the Schedule hereto is pursuant to a recommendation of the Maori Land Court hereby set apart as a Maori reservation for the purpose of a place of historic interest for the common use and benefit of the shareholders and the descendants of the proprietors of Paenoa Te Akau Block (Incorporated).
