First Schedule
Prescribed Standard
New Zealand Standard 5433:1988 entitled Code Of Practice For The Transport Of Hazardous Substances On Land, as modified by the Hazardous Substances Modifications to Prescribed Standard Notice, signed on the 22nd day of January 1991*.
Second Schedule
The prescribed standard shall be modified in section 4.2.1.1 by adding the words after subclause (c):
"(d) Any container or a capacity less than 5 kg or 5 litres containing class 9 substances."
The prescribed standard shall be modified in Table 3 by deleting the line beginning with “Class 9”, and by inserting a line before the line beginning with “Class 8”:
"Class 9—Miscellaneous dangerous substances"
The prescribed standard shall be modified in section 8.1 by deleting the words “6 and 8” and replacing with the words “6, 8 and 9”.
The prescribed standard shall be modified in section 10.1 by deleting the line beginning with “Calcium oxide”. The prescribed standard shall be modified in section 10.2 by deleting the line beginning with “1910”.

Approval of Course in Map Reading
Pursuant to section 48 (2) (a) of the Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986; and
Pursuant to a delegation given by the Secretary for Transport in an instrument dated the 31st day of August 1990; I, Robert Albert Gibson, National Co-ordinator Driver Licensing, hereby approve the following organisations to conduct courses in map reading for the purposes of regulation 11 (1) (c) of the Transport (Driver Licensing) Regulations 1987:
South Otago Driving and Motorcycle School.

Pursuant to section 48 (2) (b) of the Transport (Vehicle and Driver Registration and Licensing) Act 1986; and
Under powers delegated to me by the Secretary for Transport in an instrument of delegation dated the 31st day of August 1990; I, Warren Gillespie Simeon, Controller Road User Standards, hereby approve the following courses of motorcycle instruction:
The course of Basic Motorcycle Instruction for the purposes of Regulation 27 (1) (c) of the Transport (Drivers Licensing) Regulations 1987;
The course of Core Motorcycle Instruction for the purposes of Regulation 30 (5) of the Transport (Drivers Licensing) Regulations 1987;
The course of Advanced Motorcycle Instruction for the purposes of Regulation 32 of the Transport (Drivers Licensing) Regulations 1987;
to be conducted by the following approved school of instruction:
South Otago Driving and Motorcycle School; under the direction of Earnest William Roulston.
