Grey, shoveler and mallard duck; paradise shelduck, pukeko and black swan, aggregate bag limits 20 in all except that within the waterfowl aggregate bag the following bag limit applies:
Black swan, 1
Cock pheasant, 2
California quail, 10
Brown quail, 10

Shooting hours: 6.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.
Decoy limit: No limit.

Special Conditions

It shall be an offence to hunt or kill game from any unmoored boat on the Turakina River during the first two days of the open season for game, being Saturday 5 May and Sunday 6 May 1990.

Definition of Areas

Area A: South Wairarapa District.
Area B: Manawatu west of the Rimutaka, Tararua and Ruahine Ranges main divide.
Area C: Wairarapa east of the Tararua and Ruahine Ranges main divide.
Area D: Manawatu-Wellington—South and West of Tangiwai Road, Bailey Road, Wilson Road, Mingaroa Road, to Halcombe and along the railway line from Halcombe east to the Manawatu Gorge and then along the main divide of the Tararua and Rimutaka Ranges.

Daily Bag Limits

Waterfowl
An aggregate bag of not more than 20 waterfowl being grey, shoveler and mallard duck, paradise shelduck, pukeko, black swan and Canada goose, EXCEPT THAT WITHIN THE TOTAL OF 20 WATERFOWL, THE FOLLOWING SPECIAL BAG LIMITS APPLY:
Black swan (area A), 2
Black swan (area B), 1
Black swan (areas except A, B), 0
Canada goose (except area C), 0

Upland Game Birds
California and brown quail, no limit
Cock pheasant, 4

Shooting hours: 6.30 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.
Decoy limit: No limit.
